It has a light insulation and a soft inner lining, which adds comfort without making it bulky. The jacket fully met our expectations. Everything we tried on in stores felt uncomfortable - either too long, too tight around the neck, or awkward overall. This one fits really well. We ordered size 18 months for our 1.3-year-old, and it’s slightly oversized, which I actually prefer. It doesn’t restrict movement at all; we just roll up the sleeves a bit. The print is beautiful and unusual. All snaps and closures feel high quality and are easy to use. The cuffs are a big plus - they sit comfortably on the wrists, keep cold air out, and help prevent dirt from getting inside. The fabric is truly water-repellent: water beads up on the surface. I bought this for my 2 yo son and can’t wait until it gets a bit warmer so he can wear it! The print is so cute I had to get it. It has a very soft green jersey lining so it feels very comfortable inside and functional pockets too for all the treasures we find on our walks. This is the cutest rain jacket! It was my son’s first rain jacket and while he did not want to wear it at first, he quickly realized that he gets to play in the rain when he wears it. He loves it now and likes pointing out the fish and the frogs on the jacket. He is 24 months and in the 50th percentile for his age group and the 2T fit him with room to grow. The sleeves are a little long but we have no problem rolling them up. The lining is soft and warm but we still have him wear a thin sweater underneath.
