For Good Measure
We purchased 2 of these American METALCRAFT Stainless Steel 3/4 Measuring Cups, one for each counter top canister of dog kibble. I’m pleased that they are true food grade stainless steel, and dishwasher safe! We sanitized them in the dishwasher last night before use. No odors, no rust, no peeling or signs of corrosion. (Yay!) The handles are the perfect length… easy to reach in and grab a consistent measured scoop of kibble from our 1.5 gallon apothecary jars. Previously we were using a single plastic measuring cup, which we kept in our dog’s salmon kibble container. For a bit of variety in his diet we rotate our dog’s breakfast or lunch with an alternate protein choice, such as Venison, Duck, or Pork. With only one measuring cup it was a slight inconvenience (first world problems! LOL!) to have to open both containers of kibble, just to retrieve the measuring cup from the salmon, then scoop from the jar holding the alternate flavor of the month. In addition, the plastic scoop retained the strong salmon smell, even after washing. For us, these individual measuring cups are worth the $7 price to have easy to clean & odor free kibble scoops right at our fingertips! Read more
