Bought this as a college diploma frame and it serves its purpose...to frame a diploma/certificate. Now as for being aesthetically pleasing. It doesn't compare to the one that I already have in my home. I now have two diplomas side by side, and the quality of this is incomparable to the current one I own. I didn't even notice the difference until they were side by side, which could be seen as a plus. As for what I like about my older frame: the mat is an off white which perfectly matches the diploma color. There are two mats, creating dimension that this one doesn't create. What I don't like about this frame: the mat is VERY white. So white that it looks like a sheet off the copier. As for packaging, it came in a thick Styrofoam casing that was wrapped with tape. No damage was done to any of the corners and all the Styrofoam came right off with a quick wipe. It also came with supplies needed to hang it against the wall if you so desire to. All in all, it's a good frame that serves it's purpose. Just a personal preference on the off white mat which would have been better suited for me. Read more

I needed this frame to display a legal certificate. It arrived very carefully packaged in a styrofoam case with no scratches or mars to the frame. I was concerned about the lack of attached mounting hardware at first, because I thought the frame was advertised as having an included sawtooth bracket for hanging. Instead of that type hardware, there were included brackets and picture wire. This turned out to be a better hardware option as the brackets attached (clip on style) to the sides of the backing of the frame and I did not have to hammer tiny nails into the frame itself and hope I attached a sawtooth bracket parallel to the edge of the frame (which is a bit of a feat if you have ever attempted it). The opening of the matting was just the right size to allow enough space for a quarter inch of the document on the outside of the matting. This gave me the ability to tape the edges firmly to the back of the mat and not worry about shifting of the certificate. It looks great! Plus, I was able to just pop the completed framed certificate into the styrofoam casing so my husband won't damage it taking it to his office to display. I have purchased many document frames, but this was the best quality for the price I have seen. Read more

This is a great frame! Perfect fit and looks amazing. Arrived in perfect condition and came with its own hanging tools. I ended up hanging it up with command strips, so it’s not too heavy for that in case you were wondering. The only thing: I cut my finger pretty deeply on one of the bending metal brackets in the back of the frame while taking it out of its plastic wrap. This Americanflat 11x14 Diploma Frame is of very good quality including a sturdy frame, proper matting, solid board backing, picture wire hardware, and clear instructions. Just holding the frame gives you a feeling of confidence in the frame and is worthy of holding an important higher education degree. I highly recommend this diploma frame and I'll be ordering more in the future for other projects. I had ordered a more expensive frame that claimed to be perfectly matted for an 8.5x11-inch diploma. However, the matting was cut exactly to the 8.5x11-inch opening making my diploma fell through the opening.
