I actually replaced a very well made expensive bed that I had for years. This is not as heaving or of the same caliber but I do not regret my purchase. It is lovely, easier to move and stately looking. It says solid wood but so was my last bed but definitely not heavy like solid wood beds made years ago. The media could not be loaded. I’m honestly so happy and shocked by this bed frame. I was pretty hesitant purchasing something with no reviews. So I wanted to make sure that I wrote a product review so that people would know what they were getting themselves into. Let me just say I am blown away by the quality of this bed. It is an incredibly solid piece. Installation was fairly easy, I put it together by myself. However it is very heavy! And the parts and pieces don’t come labeled. So if you haven’t put together furniture like this before, this might overwhelm you. The pieces weren’t correctly labeled like the instructions had them however it was still very easy to figure out how to put the bed together. Overall very impressed especially at this price point. Oh how I wish I could rate this higher. Bed arrived quickly. We read the reviews before ordering and knew that the holes sometimes didn’t align. We got one from that batch! For prospective buyers, assembly of the bed essentially means that you butt two pieces together and then a third piece connects to both pieces. The holes are predrilled and have threaded inserts so the screw can bind more tightly. They didn’t align, please see the photos below. It is a heavy bed, I ended up buying my own inserts and drilling new holes. The pieces are clearly labeled and of the 3 places that had predrilled holes, all 3 pieces had issues with hole alignment. I ended up putting 5 threaded inserts in out of 22 holes. Also, on the headboard, there are a couple short wood dowels for stability. Due to the poor cutting of the boards, about 1/4 inch gap exists so the dowel can be seen. Read more

I unfortunately have to give this only a 3 star rating. The exterior such has headboard, footboard, and side rails are beautiful BUT the frame is TERRIBLE! It is poorly engineered, tiny support legs that shift and snap. After less than a week of normal use, the pictures show what happened. My husband and I are not large people by far, so this was quite a shock especially for the price paid for this bed. Thankfully my husband is a carpenter and was able to customize our’s into a solid frame, but for the average person they would be without a bed. This definitely takes 2 people to assemble as it is very heavy. I love it now that we re-designed it but what a headache. The upside is the seller did reimburse us for the cost of supplies we had to purchase to fix it, so that was very kind. So unless you or someone you know is willing to repair the frame, I’d shop elsewhere.
