If you're the type of person who prefers to write notes rather than type them out, these things are a godsend. They work about as well as any other paper for writing, though they can suffer some bleed through if you use ink-heavy pens. Ballpoints will write just fine. The amount of pages you get per pad is plentiful, and you get a nice number of pads per order. Their size is perfect, big enough to have plenty of writing space are hard to lose in clutter, but not so big that they take over a space and become a nuisance. I had been waiting for Costco to restock this notepad for ages. When I finally started to search for it online, I was super excited to find it on Amazon!!! I have a notepad that I’ve been using for years (to keep track of monthly expenses) and the pages are still intact, and, over time, the texture of the paper has become almost like cloth. I had high expectations for these pads, only to receive almost unusable pads. These are embarrassing to write notes and hand to other people in a meeting. Every other page is double lined or had ink stuck and smeared. And the micro perforated sheets are useless. Pages are heavy paper which is why these pads got 3 stars. I bought a 12 pack of the "Ampad Gold Fibre Jr. Legal Size Perforated Pad, 5 x 8, Canary Yellow Paper" for just myself to use in a small leather portfolio I received as a gift at a seminar. I only got to use just one. When the pads showed up at home the household thought it was a dumb purchase. Now everybody in the household uses them. It is the perfect size for quick notes for anything. If I am asked to pick something up in the store, guess what it is written on? It is on a piece of paper from these pads. My household took ownership of these pads. I found 6 pads of the same dimension at work that I am now using. They are not as nice as these. My pen or pencil routinely tear through those pages.
