These are my absolute favorite legal pads. The back is thick and sturdy and holds up to the extra use you get because there are more sheets per pad than normal legal pads. If you use the Cornell note-taking method, you'll like these. You can easily draw in a line at the end of your notes to add your summary, and the left hand column is well-sized. I wish I'd known of these when I was in college. I use them for work and tend to write all sorts of important info on the left. For a meeting, that might include a list of attendees, tags of action items, or off-topic ideas that come to mind. (That column is also a great place to doodle if doodling happens to be your fidget of choice in a meeting!) The obvious con is the price. Personally, I think it's worth paying more for a quality product, and $13.75 is cheaper than I've been able to find them anywhere else. Excellent layout with wide left margin for titles and categorization or summaries headings. Good color brightness makes ink stand out. Tearable pages (easy perforations) make it simple to add to binders. Sturdy cardboard backing makes it easy to carry and work with. My go-to notepads. Read more

This style of notepad is hard to find, but excellent for students. Had to really search for it before Amazon, now I subscribe to this product. It's ideal for the Cornell notetaking method of outlining as you go, and I have a ruler and red pen for all of my notebooks. This pad allows me to skip that step when taking class notes. The 3 hole punch is just a bonus. The cardboard support is nice and thick... The perforation at the top is a bit squirly until you get the hang of it (the sheets don't come off easily, but I rarely tear them anymore). Read more
I started using wide margin notebook paper as an undergrad in the 70’s. Now as a lawyer this style is enormously useful for on the fly note taking, outlining, organizing. This is a sturdy product. Worth the price. Read more
The fact is that cheap paper has its uses most of the time, but when your work is important you want to be writing on quality paper. These pads are very nice to write on. The ruling is perfect, and for those folks who enjoy the wide left margin for whatever reason, these pads fit the bill. The perforation at the top is well done so the pages tear off nicely. And the stiff cardboard backer means you don't need a clipboard for those times when a desk is not available. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and if writing is how you make your living, or you simply enjoy writing on nice stock, these pads are great. Read more
I have used these pads for 30+ years and I love them. They are thick so you don't run out of paper at a critical time. They have a sturdy backing so you can write on your lap (or elsewhere) when a table or desk is not available. They have excellent quality paper for easy writing with pen or pencil. The hole punch on the side allows them to be placed as a pad or individual sheets into a binder. The perforation is "just right" and never rips the pages or causes sheets to detach too soon. It seems silly to order pads of paper over the internet but once you have used these pads you will never go back to the standard company issue pads again! Read more
