My favorite pads of paper. High quality, heavy paper on thick, sturdy cardboard backing. Perforated to tear out and that works well. No wire bindings to get in the way of my hand when writing. Printing of lines is clear and easily discernible but not distracting. There are no holes, so be aware that if you want to eventually put these pages into a 3 ring binder you will need to use a hole punch. Read more

I almost didn't buy these because of the cost, but other reviews inspired me to try them and now I'm hooked! The quality really is so much better than the average legal pad. I take most of my notes in pencil; this paper is smoother and thus easier to write on, plus it holds up better if I need to erase. I'm now also using the Ampad 3" X 5" pads for instances where I don't need a full-sized sheet of paper so I don't 'waste' these. Read more

Ridiculous! So you take the time to write notes and then rip the page at the top because there's no perforation. Okay, I discovered after the first few sheets that they bury the perforation deeply under the logo at the top of the pad. Not so obvious. Very pricy pads that compare in price to the Office Depot pads that I really like but weren't available at my time of purchase. I'll go back to Office Depot for sure. The same price at better much better quality from Office Depot. Know you're buying for a high price and as long as you're happy with that, then go ahead. I tepidly recommend this product. Read more

This is a good writing pad if you are making shopping lists. Though it is entirely too big if you are limited on space (Like I am, my desk is crowded). The paper neatly tears out when you need to take your list with you. I suggest the notepad version of this with the strong backing to it! That is just as good as this one for making lists and it is smaller in size! Read more

These are the absolute best writing pads. The paper is very crisp and stiff when pulled off, and maintains it's shape. The lines are well spaced for writing, and ink absorbs well. Read more

These are more expensive than a lot of other pads but the quality of the paper, the perforations at the top, etc. make these pads well worth it. For items I don't care about, I use the much cheaper TOPS pads that Amazon features but I have these for more important note taking, when traveling on business, etc. Read more

I would like to return 11 of the 12 I purchased. It's near impossible to find the Gold Fibre quality I once enjoyed. Also, the larger space between lines is NOT what I wanted. The perforation is hit and miss. I definitely do not like the ragged edge when I try to tear a single sheet out. Where is the quality control? Cannot recommend and would love to have the option to return. Read more

It's like Ampad took everything that was good about the original papers and changed them for the worse. The original paper was thick with a good tooth. Ink did not easily show though. These new pads are like the cheap paper you get at Staples: the paper is thin, ink shows through, and the lines are poorly imprinted. With the old paper, the printed lines were flipped on the back so could flip the page vertically and continue writing (there was a top margin and a pink line on the left). The new paper doesn't provide for flipping the page vertically or horizontally. If you flip the page vertically, there is no margin at top. If you flip it horizontally, the pink side margin line is on the right. TL;DR: if you were a fan of the old "Made in the USA" version of the Ampad Gold Fibre pads, ignore this newer, lesser quality stuff. Read more
