The 3 of us went to Pinnacles National Park and did about a 3.5-mile hike. My daughter is 6 so she cannot carry much more than her own water. I had all of our food and supplies in my bag, and it was a breeze. The hip straps take all of the weight off of your shoulders and the wire frame keeps your back perfectly cool and not sweety. Only thing that caught me off guard is one of the interior zippers is missing the pull tab on it, it is supposed to be that way. I looked at the manufacture pictures and it was the same. The media could not be loaded. This pack did absolutely amazing, and definitely one of the more comfortable packs I’ve used while backpacking. The price point is good to for what you get. I was able to fit a fairly large sleeping bag and 2 person backpacking tent in this pack with all my other gear, except for a few items I had to put on the outside. The reason why I’m giving the pack a 4 star and not a 5 is because the tie down straps located on the sleeping bag compartment felt cheap or too small. took little tension to cause the tie down clips to come undone but not break thankfully. It boasts features typical of pricier high-end bags, and the back design is perfect for folks like me who tend to sweat more than the average Joe. However, there's a small hiccup: when I started packing towards the higher end of its stated capacity, around 24lbs, I noticed the foam support compressed quite a bit. This made it less comfortable than when carrying lighter loads. So, while it's a fantastic buy for lighter trips, it might not be the best for those looking to utilize its full capacity. I took this pack on a 12 mile backpacking trip - everything about it was great except for the bottom of the “exoskeleton” supports. They are very hard plastic and can really dig into your back. I don’t think I can use this pack again because of this. Read more
I put 3 stars cause the pack seems well made and would do the job, but don't get it if you are taller than 5'8" or 5'9", it can't adjust to accommodate any taller than that. Read more
