all of my boys have skate boarded at one time or another and my 6 yr old is no different. he loves to watch his brothers do little tricks and such so i thought it would be fun for him to have his own smaller board to learn and practice on. He loves the angry birds design on the board and it is much easier for him to control being smaller. he still likes to lay down on his stomach on it and roll around but he is getting the hang of how to use it the right way and to steer and such. you definitely do not want to let it get wet in the rain, that happened once and it already started warping the wood so I dont think it is treated wood at all. it didnt completely ruin it this time but if it were to happen again it would probably destroy it totally so just try not to get it wet! quality is nice otherwise and the price is very reasonable. Decent board for the money. Graphics look like they were printed on a laser printer that was running out of ink. Grip tape had a gouge in it even though the packaging was otherwise fine. Bearings are fine so far, it rolls well enough. Wheels are small (to be expected) which necessitates a very smooth, clean riding area. It'll probably last just long enough for my 6yo to out grow it. Sadly there aren't a lot of options for this size board so I'll probably end up buying at least one more of these for my littler people when they're old enough. Read more
I recommend giving this product a good inspection when it comes; mine came banged up and I needed to exchange it. Once I got a non-damaged copy, though, my kiddo absolutely loved it. It's definitely a beginner skateboard, kind of small, and while nothing about it seems fragile, I don't expect it to last forever if he sticks with it. But for the price it's a good way for a kid to learn some basics and see if he wants to keep at it. Eventually, if they do, you'll want to upgrade, but that's fine - there's a place for beginner products. Read more
I feel like this is the perfect beginner skateboard size. Kids are already too big for the very small ones you see around by the time they are able to balance, but I still feel like kids can start earlier than when they'd fit the smaller pro boards (twigs, termites, etc). This fits between those sizes. Unfortunately, the quality of this is just too low to recommend. It's reminiscent of the ones you'd find in big box stores for $10-15 twenty years ago. There is virtually no concave or clean pop. The nose and tail are very mellow. The board flexes easily. The trucks are okay, but the angle is not ideal. The bearings won't roll more than 3-4ft. The wheels aren't as rock hard as some, but they are still too slippery for me to want my kid children using. I love the little tool that comes with it and its graphic, but for the safety of your children, I would strongly suggest spending a few dollars more for a higher quality board that will both last and be usable. Very nice for my daughter who has never ridden a skateboard before, also has a VERY cool Angry birds design on the underside. It only holds a 120 pounds and is not for aggressive riding. It's just what it claims to be, a beginner's skateboard and my daughter LOVES IT! I hope this review and pics were helpful. Read more
I got this for my kiddos; one is 6yrs and the other is 14yrs. It’s a mini board so it definitely works better for my smaller child and she absolutely loves it. It’s very sturdy and built to last from what we’ve seen so far. Definitely would recommend to others with kids 😊 Read more
Got this for my son. It is a bit small even for a 7year old. The packaging is very frustrating. The board itself was shrink wrapped and then all the parts were fastened after so to really get all the plastic wrap off you would need to remove the trucks first. Otherwise you end up leaving some annoying and unsightly pieces of plastic stuck underneath the trucks. The wheels are on the small side and don’t roll very easily. Maybe that’s the intention for beginners so they don’t slip and fall. The deck has a nice gritty surface for traction and the bottom of the board has a colorful print of Angry Birds. Other than that, there’s nothing special about it. Read more
This skateboard is pretty basic. The quality is decent, and the Angry Bird design looks pretty cool. One thing to note is that the skateboard is mini, so it's not as large as you might think. Personally, I do not think this skateboard would work for a kid over ten years old and that may even be pushing it. I'm not super familiar with skateboards, but the board seems to work fine for my seven year old. Overall, this skateboard is decent quality, and the graphic is cool, but it is best for younger kids because of its size. Read more
