This mat is pretty decent, it makes using my rolling office cahir a nicer experience as my chair is on concrete in my shop. The anti-slip backing keeps it in place, and the surface allows my chair to roll smoothly without any drag. Just wish it were a little larger as I roll off the edges sometimes. Read more

I've been looking for a better solution for my office chair rolling over the carpet. I read reviews from other design approaches; PVC mats, TEP, tempered glass, etc. Common issues with these include insufficient thickness to support the wheels (sinking in), cracking, hazing, scuffing, sharp edges, etc. I ran across a YouTube video ranking some of the top solutions featuring the Anji Mountain Rug'd Gaming Chair Mat and ordered one to try out. This comes in a convenient size and several color options to choose from. I think the key feature of this mat is the material construction (jacquard woven polyester surface and PVC core) and the right thickness to provide support to allow the chair wheels to roll freely when placed on a carpeted (or hard floor) surface. I simply unfolded the mat at the middle and placed it at my desk and was up and running. It's much easier to position my chair at my desk vs. pushing over the carpet. Polyester is a very rugged material, so I'm assuming that this will hold up well over the life of use. I'll update my comments if I start to note and wear issues. As for my initial impressions, I'm very impressed with this mat and feel that it offers a unique solution to a common problem. If you're looking for a chair mat solution (especially on carpet) this Anji Mountain Mat is definitely worth considering. Highly recommended. Read more

So this is in my carpeted office, and it works great for helping the wheels roll around a little easier. My only complaint is that it doesn't extend deep enough back from the desk to really roll back and not roll off, which makes it even harder to get back on. Using it sideways helps, but then it looks weird, and I can't scoot to that end of my desk. Still, better than trying to bounce/scoot on just the bare carpet. Read more

I work from home and office is in the smallest room in our house and is only 8X10 With all of the other stuff in there on top of my large desk and dual monitors for work I also have a smaller desk for my all in one desktop, I have a printer with a stand, and I have a filing cabinet and two ikea shelving units to the ceiling (I can’t remember the names of them but they are the ones that have all the options like bins, a door, dual drawers, and all that stuff). So I have to be very mindful of the size of the space, heck neither of my office chairs have arms because they need to be able to go all the way under the desks. Naturally finding a office chair mat has been a process and I have tried a bunch of different options from those clear polymer ones (thes crack constantly and are trash for the price), I’ve tried the more rug looking ones (the bunch up under the wheels and even taping it down didn’t help), and basically everything in between. So I was hoping this would work. And it actually does for my specific needs! So much so that I’m going to get another one for the other desk setup I have in my office room. It’s definitely small, but for my it’s just big enough to be able to wheel my office desk around on it without some of the wheels falling off of the mat. I’m still able to move around a bit and get in and out of the chair without issue. My chair glides easily over this as well and the mat feels like it’s built to last a good while. Now I will say I’m in a unique position that something very small works for me perfectly. But I could see the fact that it is so small being an issue for some people whom have more room in there offices. All in all though I’m happy with it! Read more

It's been so hard to find a good chair mat for carpet. This fits the bill. It's surprisingly sturdy, and is great for both chairs and standing desks. It arrives folded in half, and it lays flat immediately. I have the 1/4" version, and I do wish I had gotten the 1/2" instead because of the thickness of the carpet, but even then I think it'll hold very nicely. It has a dotted texture on the bottom so it also won't slide on carpet easily. The colors come through as advertised too. The material also is not slippery, which is great for my older dog who walks on it. The list price currently is $129, which I think is maybe a little steep, but I think it'll last me a long time, so it's worth it. Read more

I'll open this review with the fact that I wish this mat was a bit bigger. it looks great under my desk and I'm really liking having it instead of bare floor, i just wish it was larger as my chair easily rolls off of it when I'm getting in/out of the desk. It's super high quality and seems like it will last a long time. The rubber grips on the bottom mean it has not moved an inch since being placed on the floor. The only thing I'd really change is next time to find one that is like twice this size so that it can cover the whole area hear my desk! Read more
