So much nicer than the clear plastic mats which tend to crack over time. I have this in my home office and I couldn't be more pleased with the looks and quality of the mat. So far it is holding up well. Very happy with it. Read more
I loved everything about this chair mat. Unfortunately, with the padding on the bottom and the thickness of the bamboo it presented a potential tripping problem due to the location I need to use it in, which is part of a well-travelled foyer. If not for that, I would say that this would have been the perfect chair mat for my work area. It is solid, smooth rolling and looks great. I am disappointed that I have to return it. Read more
This is seriously one of the best purchases. I've tried multiple types of chair mats. They all start well, then they shortly start showing wheel grooves in the plastic. This bamboo material is seriously tough. And I love how each one is articulated separately and the backing is nicely aligned. The weight was surprisingly heavier than expected. Its fully assembled, and comes folded within the box. My fear when seeing it was I misread when ordered, and I'd have to assemble it somehow. Thankfully, its fully assembled, and just has to be unfolded (think unrolled like the other plastic mats). I've been sitting on this for over 6 months. The flooring feels nice to the touch with bare feet. My chair rolls over it effortlessly. I'm a big girl. I've had my health struggles, and still fighting weight, so when I say big, this is supporting over 300 lbs with my weight and chair. I'm including a photo where I'm in middle of cleaning up the boxes from delivery this week, so its messy. But you can clearly see how the flooring sits above the carpet. And the size I choose gives me the extra room to slide back from desk and be able to work on other areas without the wheels slipping off the edges. Pros: --Sturdy, awesome construction. --Already assembled. YES THIS IS WHAT everything needs to be - fully assembled people! --Options for color & sizes, including thickness --Value - I mention cost below as a negative, but I'm fully expecting this thing to last me years, vs at most a year on the heavy duty pvc or whatever those other floor mats are made of. Cons: --It is a big pricier than I have spent in the past. But I read those reviews before buying, and even went directly to the website to check those. I've spent over $100 on just other heavy duty plastic chair mats. Those worked, but not well. There was always some dents in the plastic where the wheels would naturally fall into. UGH. I'd have to replace those about every year. Summary: I'm really loving my new office setup. It includes the foundation of this bamboo chair mat. I feel grounded, and love that in my little apartment, I can have this natural piece of wood to connect me to more sustainable furniture feel, and the color palette is totally soothing. To help with size - the desk in the image is 6 feet long (72 inches). I have room under there for additional storage, and as mentioned, I have room behind my chair to wheel around without falling off the edge. I was worried about the cost, but after using it and seeing the sturdiness for myself, I can without hesitation recommend this highly. Excellent choice my friends! Read more

I might come back later and add or remove a star. This is after 3-4 weeks of use: This is a beautiful product and makes my office look much nicer. I even bought a bamboo monitor stand to match, and will probably buy a bamboo waste bin. I have a really thick carpet that was shredding plastic mats and this one hold up great. I put the last plastic mat I had underneath this bamboo one just as an added measure. My chair rolls smoothly and there's plenty of room to roll around. I really appreciate that it's a series of slats so I can fold it to move it around. You can't really roll it up because the slats are too big, but that's not an issue. The backing is really nice, doesn't slip around, and is sturdy when I fold the mat. So, other than my negative issue below this is 5+++ stars!. BTW, I'm 165 lbs on an Aeron chair, so it's not like I'm stress testing it, but the slats don't bend AT ALL in he deep carpet. One big issue: the edge of each slat is slightly splintering. That's the edges between two slats. So I have 'shavings' floating around and it's starting to look a little worn. Not too bad, but if it gets worse I'll be unsatisfied. It's starting to look slightly used and the bamboo underneath is a lighter color so it's totally noticeable. The part of the mat that I don't roll on still looks fine. Basically if it looks like trash in 6 months I'll be pissed, but if this is just some minor breaking in I'll be OK. Read more
This is excellent product! I have a home office with carpeting and the plastic chair mats I'd have to buy new one every 2 years - which is ridiculous to me. This looks so good in the office and it's big enough can roll around in chair to filing cabinets - couldn't do that with plastic chair mats as they aren't as big. Just match color to your decor and it's beautiful. I do notice it moves slightly as I adjust about once a month, but it only moves about a inch or 2 so it's only a slight adjustment (straitening it out) and this doesn't affect my chair movement - just my OCD lol. Some minor defacts that I guess I can live with. Plank-to-plank spacing seems to vary. Some are tightly packed but others are not as tight. So far so good. Will see in about 6months of normal usage. They can probably package it in a way that makes transport easier. The flat pack could barely fit through my elevator door. I thought they would have rolled it up and transport in a cylinder. I absolutely love this. In my sewing room I have carpeting. I have tried the flimsy ones that are clear that you can buy at the box office stores this is solid in my chair does not sink into the carpeting. Just wish I could’ve got it in a better color, but they were out. Read more
I like the mat. It is very durable. The only problem I have is that the mat tends to creep away from my desk and I have to reposition it every 2-3 days. I called the manufacturer (Anji Mountain) for advice on how to stop this and they told me that they could only give me advice on mats that I purchased directly through them. I fail to see what difference the seller makes ( I purchased it through Amazon). It is still their product and they should back it up. Read more
