Okay, let's be real. If you're a MacBook user, especially with one of the newer models, you know the struggle is real when it comes to ports. Seriously, it feels like Apple decided we don't need to plug anything in anymore. That's where this Anker USB C Hub swoops in like a superhero. I've been using this 7-in-1 adapter for a bit now, and it's pretty much become an essential part of my setup. First off, it's Anker, so you expect a certain level of quality, and it delivers. It feels solid, not flimsy like some cheaper hubs I've tried. The main reason I grabbed this was for the 4K HDMI, and it works flawlessly. Plugging it into my MacBook Air and then out to my external monitor (a 1440p, so not quite 4K but super crisp), the picture quality is perfect. No flickering, no lag, just a clear, extended desktop. Beyond the HDMI, having extra USB-A ports is a lifesaver. I can finally plug in my wireless mouse dongle, an external hard drive, and still have room for a flash drive or my keyboard without having to play musical chairs with my dongles. The USB-C passthrough charging is also super handy so I don't lose a port just to power my laptop. It's super easy to use – literally plug and play. No drivers, no software, just connect it and everything works. It's compact enough to throw in my bag without taking up much space, which is great for when I'm working from different spots. If you're constantly juggling adapters or wishing your MacBook had just *one* more port, this Anker hub is a no-brainer. It brings back all the essential connectivity you need in one well-made, reliable little package. Highly recommend! Read more

Fits perfect and looks great. Has all the plugs that I need. Shipping was quick and it works perfectly. Value for the money was online and it connects to the computer flawlessly with the ability to charge. It is mall and almost weightless and fits in my backpack pocket and I forget it’s there. It has some many options to plug in that it’s compatible with everything. Read more

Exactly what I wanted. Provides multiple different interfaces/types, as Apple has chosen to simplify their native interfaces. Unit is small, hardly notice it is there at all. Easy to plug in and out, but stays put. No problems with the mag charging port, that is fully accessible. Totally compatible with everything I have plugged in so far. Read more

Works fine with Macbook Air 13" M4. The color is a sort of titanium grey. It doesn't color match with any Macbooks that I know of. It had all the ports you could ask for. The hub though doesn't quite sit flush with the surface of my Macbook, so I am returning it. I bought from Satechi instead which does sit flush, has less labelling so looks cleaner, is a close color match to silver, and in my opinion has better port placement. The Anker is a perfectly good port hub, I just found a product that better suites my tastes. I included pics for comparison, Anker vs Satechi. Read more

I needed a USB hub for my new Macbook Air, which only has two USB C ports. I decided to try this one and so far it's worked great. I like it because it mounts flush with the computer and doesn't dangle. It does take up both of the USB ports on the Mac, but that's ok. It fits perfectly and does not cover up the magnetic charging port. At first it wasn't working, but then I was able to push it in a little tighter and it was fine. I haven't moved the computer around, but from what I can tell the hub seems to be securely attached. It includes two USB A ports and two USB C ports, which is what I was looking for. It also has a couple of other types of ports which I probably won't be using. One of the USB C ports is for "pass through charging" as well as data transfer. Some hubs do not transfer data through their charging port, but this one does both. I haven't had this long, but it worked fine when I used one of the USB A ports to transfer my files from an external drive that Carbonite sent me. My previous computer was a Windows PC, and Carbonite's backup program is not compatible across platforms, so my only choice was to have them send an external drive. The file transfers went quickly and smoothly. I also used the powered USB C port with an external CD drive which I also purchased from Amazon. The instructions on the drive said to not use a hub but to plug it directly into the computer. I did not want to remove the hub to use the CD drive, so I decided to try the USB C port which included the power. The CD drive worked perfectly. I'm also using one of the USB A ports for the little plug which came with my old wireless mouse, and it is also working great. So far, I'm very happy with this hub! Read more
