I was hesitant to get this due to there being no reviews but I will say that in my opinion, this is great value for an 80x40 aluminum profile rig. It is good quality, solid, and has all the adjustability I need for my Asetek Pagani Pedals, (although I did have to drill a couple holes in the pedal plate to utilize all the available attachment points) that I have set to 55kg of force with no flexing or movement. The wheel base plate that it comes with is sturdy enough to hold my Asetek Forte wheel base with no flexing at all, I only set my wheel to about 12-14Nm. I don't think it would have any problem with the full 18Nm that the Forte is capable. I like the Asetek front mount so I added that and used the stock wheel deck as a foot plate :) which also adds more rigidity to the rig. I'm 6ft, 200 lbs. and I stand on it and it doesn't flex. The included shifter plate is large and sturdy enough to hold my Moza HBP handbrake, Moza SGP sequential shifter, Thrustmaster TH8-A h-pattern shifter, and a cup holder with room to spare. I added a GT Omega RS-9 seat with no issues. Even though the boxing/packaging is not fancy or even heavy duty, the aluminum pieces were all in perfect condition with no scratches and wrapped in a heavy duty plastic peel off film. All the included hardware is adequate to assemble with decent instructions. It helps to watch a few assembly videos of other 80x40 profile rigs beforehand because seeing all those parts is intimidating if you don't have a clue. I upgraded to this from a GT Omega Apex wheel stand with the rear seat frame add on, which had a tiny bit of flex when load-cell/hydraulic braking above 40-50kg. It was great for my Logitech g920 set up and even the Asetek gear but I wanted absolutely no flex and the ability to add motion actuators in the future. This sim racing rig is absolutely solid throughout, from its construction, materials used, accessories provided, assembly instructions, and value for the money. When was the last time you had a metric measuring tape included with anything? One is provided here, they thought of everything. The frame arrived super quick. I'm in the East coast and mine was shipped from a warehouse in NJ. Shipper elected to pay for SUNDAY delivery which is above and beyond for what they were required to do. It arrived in two boxes and every single piece of frame was covered in a protecting film on 4 sides. It actually got a bit annoying to peel it all off but I appreciate they went to this level of care to ensure everything arrived pristine - and it did! Not a single scratch of blemish anywhere. The frame is mostly 4080 (mm) vs others in this price range that are 4040. A 4080 extrusion not only is much stronger but it's also great for attaching accessories later on. I was worried about the bridge - where the wheel base mounts - and had already started riffling through my spare metal bin to see how I could reinforce it. Fear not, this thing is solid. The sheet metal used for the bridge, foot pedal, and shifter plates is ~2.75mm/0.100" thick! That's near 12 gauge steel. Not content with this, the manufacturer added an additional extrusion support to the bridge. You won't be moving it much, I can assure you. The corner joints are made out of cast aluminum, not thin bent sheet metal like some others. The hardware included is hefty and topnotch, with M8 bolts throughout and steel, spring-loaded extrusion nuts. The joints between the two base sections of the rig are held together by a pair of heavy steel bars and FOUR bolts each. No way that's going to move but the designers took it a step above and put the bridge bracket right at the joint point to add even more support. The bridge bracket is held in place by 10, M8 bolts - TEN bolts on each side!! The pedal plate, where others throw a couple of thin lose pieces, is a single piece, 12 gauge plate of steel on this one. Let's talk about cost and value. I'm an old hands when it comes to metal work and have a home shop with a Bridgeport mill, two lathes, bandsaws, brake press, CNC router, etc. I can make one of these, no problem. But why would I? Have you priced aluminum extrusions lately? The raw materials alone to DIY one of these is higher than the asking price for a beautifully finished and shipped product. If you're in the market for a sim racing rig, I would highly recommend this one. You could spend more but I'm not sure you'd be getting your money's worth. This is probably the best rig for the price. Putting the thing together is a challenge at first. But once you’re about halfway done, it becomes “easy.” Shipping is another story. They shipped it to the wrong state. Not house. State! Three states over to be exact. Then when it arrived they delivered it to my neighbors house lol pathetic. I was planning on having it setup on the date they provided. But it arrived three days late on a Friday. No biggie. But I was unable to practice before the event on Saturday. Ive been using it everyday and it’s really nice. You have to re-tighten everything two or three times. But it works well. It fits all my moza gear well! With plenty of adjustment points to make it feel just like my car. Read more
If you’re wanting an aluminum profile rig but don’t want to spend over $500 for the bare minimum, this rig is amazing for the price. Material wise no complaints. All parts accounted for. The only thing I will say is maybe spend a little more money and buy the hardware kits on here, the t nuts included can be a pain. I also bought a good Allen wrench set and highly recommend doing so. But once you get into a rhythm of putting it together you’ll get the hang of it. Set aside time to lay everything out, organize by length and size, use the included tape measure, and do not tighten anything up right away except the 2 t plates with a lot of bolts. TLDR; absolutely sturdy rig with tons of value for the price, good materials, and don’t rush assembly process. Read more
