It seems pretty strong and durable. I love how you can see the rug underneath right through. It was a beautiful rug and I didn't want to cover it up with a desk chair pad. I thought the extra money would be worth it if it was strong enough. My hyperactive son has stomped on it and jumped on my chair and spun. It has also a few times slid a little bit off the rug so it's on an uneven surface until I catch it and move it back. So it hasn't cracked or anything when that's happened. I haven't done it yet but I do plan to find some solution to keep it from slipping so much when you put weight on it from the rug walking onto the glass or from the glass onto the rug. Like maybe some sort of non-slip thing that I can add just to the edge under the desk where no one will notice. Read more
