AOC PC Controller Interactive Screen Wireless Controller Compatible with PC Switch Switch 2 iOS Android Hall Effect Joystick

This turned out to be really great. I have a few AOC items and have found them to be satisfactory. This particular item seems noticeably higher quality than the other items. The controller is really solid feeling and performing overall. I have a variety of Bluetooth controllers. Some controllers have been purchased and retired fast for one reason or another. I seemed to gravitate to the XBox One S controller for many years. This one will replace it because everything about it just seems better. It has a built in battery, which is great and of course I love that it uses USB C. It has a screen to help with pairing, setting turbo buttons, and other functionality. The buttons feel premium and so do the thumbsticks. The D-Pad was something I was skeptical about because it's round instead of the traditional + shape. The D-Pad is always the hardest part to get right. I'm happy to say that it's very functional. My initial reaction was that the feel is a bit lightweight, with presses being registered too easily. However after just a couple of minutes I found it to be quite comfortable and even preferable. That's tall praise considering how closely I pay attention to that detail in particular. It does have vibration built in and apparently can use a G-sensor for motion controls although I haven't tried the motion controls. Point being, it seems to everything and even has some fancy lights for a bit of flair. My son obviously went straight to it and unfortunately dropped it. I thought he broke it, but it turns out that the plastic front is actually held onto the rest of the controller with magnets. It's actually meant to be removable and replaceable, which was a pleasant surprise. I've never had a controller that did that, but like to have it as an option. What really sets it apart though is the list of high end features like the built-in onboard LCD screen that is incredibly convenient for instantly adjusting settings like RGB lighting, button mapping, built in gyroscope, and changing between connection modes without needing PC software. I also love the four programmable back paddles (many controllers in this price range only offer two, if any!) and the Hall Effect analog sticks and triggers, which eliminate the fear of stick drift for good. Great controller on a budget! The buttons are tactile, and the sticks feel good. The triggers allow variable input, and can also be individually locked for fixed input. Rumble motors are decent, and the LED can be customized to 10 different settings/colors. The integrated screen provides an easy way to customize settings, calibrate sticks and triggers, and set custom combos for the four back buttons. Connection to PC (wired, Bluetooth, and dongle) and Android (Bluetooth) was seamless. Ergonomics are very comfortable and near identical to the original Xbox controllers.
