Fairly odd combo but real. Dummy ditty dumb this is a real review. Been using it for about a week now. I like the look and function but like all small options there is a compromise. Low fuel capacity but enough for a full day of heavy use. The only real gripe or negative is the bottom. Edges are too sharp since they are the only brace to lighting. Hurts the pinky at times. Still lights on the first try for me. Was able to turn down the flame from stock setting to conserve fuel. Refilling is somewhat a pita since what I have does not fit well. It does fill but I waste some fuel. One feature I really like is the ON/OFF slider switch. It is very clicky with a very assertive and not too rattly switch. There is no mistaking if you switched it or not. I really dislike the "hold to keep lit" type of torch lighters. UPDATE 10/15/2025: Still works like day one and the finish is holding up well. Lighter worked well for a brief period of time, that is until it started leaking fluid from the see through window for no apparent reason. Read more

Fit and finish are off (the head/body seam is uneven) and it was finicky until a brief break in period, but for the price you can’t complain. The flint is replaceable. Just pull up on the striker wheel and it’s right there. The on/off switch makes this more useful for lighting candles, fires, and pipes than most torches. Read more

The valve to refill this came broken, or its simply not functional. I'll update when my replacement comes. cannot fill it with butane, 1 day into owning. It just spills gas everywhere. I'm wasting a lot of good butane. Its not worth that trouble. If the replacement is just as bad I won't update this review. Read more

This is my second of this Aomai torch lighter. The first lasted for a year with regular use, but after I changed the flint it wasn’t the same (but that’s a different story). This one doesn’t work as smoothly as the first; the switch is difficult to slide into position, the wheel doesn’t turn smoothly and the biggest issue for me, it gets hot. A lighter shouldn’t get hot in your hand. It makes me nervous. The flame on this one sputters a bit as well, but it’s not a dealbreaker Update 1: I contacted the seller about this and they were really great about getting back to me and correcting the issue by sending me another lighter. It took about 10 days to arrive. But the replacement doesn’t work. The slide switch for the gas won’t go in the up/open position without being leveraged with an object (I used a chopstick) and then it wouldn’t stay. So I just contacted the seller again and am awaiting a reply. No idea if they’ll replace this one. I’ll update as necessary, stay tuned... Update 2: I guess that my leveraging the switch with a chopstick unstuck whatever was keeping it from moving freely, so now it works. However, it gets hot like the other, so I’m kind of giving up on it. Maybe I just got lucky the first time. I’m going back to using my Honest torch lighter. Not as elegant looking, but a flawless performer Read more

This came after reddit search pulled up best pocket torch lighter, lasts forever, metal. It was the 3rd or so suggested one in the thread, but, I checked them out and this one was so check o decided to give it a shot. First impressions? The thing is HEFTY. It has a good weight to it. It's fully metal! Except a plastic adjust screw. It actually has a variety of flame levels that work from high to low! It SIPS the butane. My initial fill lasted me 100+ seconds of flame. There is a clear reservoir window so you can even see the level. This provides a smaller than your average torch flame, but, it is solid so far. I will update in a few weeks to give further impressions.9 Read more
