Great option and better value
TLDR for the below: these work great, just change more often than brand name recommendations. You can definitely tell a difference but in my opinion they’re still worth it- especially if you have a number of these throughout your home (I have 5). The HEPA filters don’t quite have a snug fit like the on-brand, but they fit nicely. For the expensive, on-brand filters: Typically the black charcoal filters last 3-6 months, while the white HEPA filters are supposed to last 6-12m. Pet-free, weekly cleaned/vacuumed homes are on the longer side of that. If you have a single pet or someone in the house who has bad allergies, you’re on the shorter end of that. If you have 2+ pets in the house, you should consider changing it even more often! Think 2-4m and 3-6m, respectively. When getting the off brand/value brand ones: I find switching them out more often creates the same result and gives me trust it’s doing its job all the way through. I have 3 pets in my home, all wood floors, and my routine includes flipping the charcoal filter after the first month (30ish days) and replacing it after the second. I typically change the HEPA filters 1x every 3 months, sometimes more often if the Texas allergies are particularly terrible that month. Your filters will get more life if you clean the machine every so often, and clear out the dust and hair that collects. Hope this helps. Read more
