We didn't know how much cleaning would be needed when we got our red eared slider. It seemed like as soon as we would clean the tank would get filthy in just a few days and stunk. Got a bigger filter system and that helped but it still require more maintenance than we expected. Found this and figure we would give it a shot before we got rid of the turtle. We put this in the tank the last time we cleaned it. We're three weeks in and the water is still clear as can be.
