Two years in, and this thing is still a beast. Excellent 6k resolution. It's not cheap, but it kicks a**. After years of working with two displays, I finally got down to one. Money well spent. I thought I'd sometimes use it in portrait orientation, but it's sooooo tall. Read more

Besides the price, super impressed with this monitor. I've looked at both Standard Glass and Nanotexure and Standard Glass is *much* sharper for text and everyday use. With nanotexture text looks a bit fuzzy and white background feels slightly sandy, so in my opinion it would be a downgrade - don't get nanotexture unless you are really bothered by the reflections! Standard Glass is sharp and flawless, much like a screen on Macbook Pro or an iPhone. I use this monitor with 2019 MacBook Pro running Windows through Bootcamp. Was worried about adjusting brightness in Windows, but in fact Bootcamp provides a Display brightness slider. If you enable HDR, you'll have to adjust this through Windows HD Color Settings -> HDR/SDR brightness balance. HDR videos on YouTube look incredible, as you can see sunlight, reflections and colors vividly like never before on a regular monitor. Monitor comes with soft high quality power + thunderbolt cables, which charges MacBook Pro while in use, which is a nice benefit. Read more
What a gorgeous display, but lacking in final polish in terms of bug fixes and quality. Love the color, the glass front and the clarity. The display has some problems though. I couldn't get a band of darker color to disappear at the top of the display unless I ran in DCI 4K / 60. All other resolutions and refresh rates (including native 6K) had a darker band at the top (not a backlight issue). The monitor bleeds pretty bad, only has one input, has no controls, and has absurdly priced stand or VESA mount. A little bit of polish (correcting the banding issue) and I would have kept it. What a great price for full P3 and HDR. I bought it for the color gamut and clarity, but I just can't have a display that displays incorrect brightness in the first 10 or so lines. It is kind of annoying that I needed to purchase a $1.5K converter because of the limited number of input formats. I purchased two of these and both of them had exactly the same performance issues with brightness near the upper edge. Also should mention that there is a huge color shift for off axis viewing. The display will get very blue if you have two of the next to each other and you are positioned in front of your primary display. Repositioning the display helped a lot, but it has no where near the off-axis viewing capabilities of an LG ultrafine 5K (at a fraction of the cost). I'm hopeful the recently release Apple 5K 27" display will address the issues listed above. Read more
For a company like Apple to sell a premium display and omit a stand of any kind is beyond my understanding. This is equivalent of Mercedes selling a new S-Class sedan, and making the engine optional. Not everyone needs a fancy Pro Stand that pivots and tilts a million different ways. A basic stand that allows you to actually use this Display should be included. For all the brilliant minds that Apple employs, to have this decision be made makes one question their judgement and common sense. A real shame Apple. We've waited for 6 weeks for this display to arrive, and now have to wait another month for the Pro Stand to be delivered because you've decided to sell an incomplete product. We're beyond disappointed. Read more
I bit the bullet and bought this because it has the best single monitor resolution available and I have a Mac Pro 2019 I use for music production to use with it. I strongly prefer a single monitor setup as I find second monitors distracting and less ergonomic. The huge screen real estate for my DAW is wonderful, the colors and blacks are vivid, no ugly glow like with an IPS panel. I used an inexpensive monitor arm which has been perfect and have had no heat issues. The monitor arm frees space for outboard audio equipment. I was also pleasantly surprised to have no issues whatsoever in bootcamp. Read more
Seemed small. Guess all the hype and promos made it look huge. I know 32inches is 32 inches but when I opened the box, it didn’t look any bigger than the 30” I was using. I know the resolution is far better, but just didn’t live up to the hype. I returned it and decided to try a 40inch. Read more
This is a very very good monitor - it’s obviously expensive but in my humble opinion worth it - works great on a PC as well but to use all those pixels you do need a good PC. Overall quite satisfied . Read more
