It works great for connecting my AirPods Max with USB-C to an Xbox controller. I wish it came in different lengths because this is just barely long enough for my purposes. It’s insanely expensive for what it actually accomplishes... Unfortunately it’s the only option because of the built in DAC. Read more

I travel a lot and airfly thing never works for me. I use this on my delta flights when they have a screen in the seat in front and it works very well. I was also impressed with the cable, it’s not that hard flexible plastic that splinters and breaks, it’s a soft but durable flexible cord. Do not buy this cable for AirPod Max even though they list it as a compatible device. Save yourself the $40! If I could give this product negative stars, I would do so in a heartbeat. When I bought this cable through the actual Apple storefront on Amazon, the product listing specifically said it was compatible with the Apple AirPod Max (no model number or year was given, it just said AirPod Max compatible). I purchased this cable as a gift and incorrectly assumed I would have a 30 day return window. I will take the hit on that part; I did not read all of the fine print and notice that Apple products on Amazon only have a 15 day return window. When the birthday girl recieved the cable and tried it on her AirPod Max, to our surprise the cable connection was a hair too big. By this point, we were a few days past the 15 day return window so I was unable to create a return. When I went on my Amazon App it gave me the option to troubleshoot by calling the number to Apple Customer Service. I spoke with an Agent (who was very sweet) but was told this was an Amazon issue as it sounded like an incorrect product listing or they sent the wrong product in the box. The Apple Agent specifically said there has only ever been one version of the AirPod Max released so either this cable was never meant for them or I was sent the wrong item. I read reviews on here that said this cable did work for their AirPod Max so I am not really sure what the correct answer is. The Agent said Apple could do nothing for me and I should contact Customer Service. The Customer Service Agent and his supervisors were very nice and tried to override the 15 day return policy to populate a return label but to no avail. The best they could do was give me a $20 Amazon credit and report the misleading listing to Apple. So now I stuck with a cable I cannot do anything with and am out $20 as this was a $40 cable and the most Amazon could credit me was $20. I appreciate the help Amazon could offer. However, I am incredibly disappointed in Apple with their hardline return policy (on a platform that is known for their 30 day return policy) that cannot be deviated from even when it is an issue that stems from their incorrect product listing.
