The Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) is a fantastic smartwatch! The 44mm Retina display is crisp, and fitness tracking (heart rate, sleep, workouts) works flawlessly. Crash detection adds safety, and it’s comfortably water-resistant. The Midnight Aluminum Case looks sleek, and battery life is solid. Great value for the features—highly recommend! Read more

Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone who wants to take fitness a little more seriously. I work from home so I tend to spend most of my days sitting, leading to a lot less steps than I used to get when I worked in an office. I got this to be able to track my steps, but what I didn’t know, which I LOVE, is that you can set daily goals for things like Calories, Active Minutes, and Hours where you stood for more than 1 minute. Because of these, I find myself getting up at least once an hour to run around my house for a minute to reach my daily goals. This product had definitely helped me become more active and I definitely recommend it! This product is also has TONS of more features and works so seamlessly with my iPhone. It’s great to just be able to lift up my wrist to see a quick message or notification rather than keep picking up my phone, which helps increase my productivity by wasting less time looking at my phone. Overall great product - definitely worth the money Read more

If I am being completely, this watch has far exceeded my expectations. I think it might have too much stuff with it! Which is to say, I don’t use many of the apps, but there seems to be an app for everything. Oh and it can tell time!! Read more

I recently received the Apple Watch SE 2nd Generation from Amazon and purchased it after doing a bunch of research. I first tried the Garmin Venu Sq 2 before the Apple Watch. While I liked the Garmin very much (especially the week long plus battery life) I found it very limited in terms of apps, especially for hiking which is my primary interest. I figured I’d give the Apple Watch a try after reading many positive reviews. I decided to go with the SE because it was my first smart watch and didn’t feel like plopping down $400+ for the standard Apple Watch for my first device. I ended up paying around $290 with tax for the SE 2nd Generation 44mm watch and initially tried the 40mm watch with the S/M band. I had to return it because the band was way too tight on even the loosest notch. Additionally the 40mm size was a lot smaller than I expected. I ended up exchanging for the 44mm watch with the M/L band and it is just right. The watch has a nice screen and is the perfect size for me. It is super easy to charge but be prepared to invest in a USB-C charging block if you don’t have a spare: Apple includes the proprietary charging cable for the watch but NOT the power brick. Charging is easy but unlike its bigger brother the SE doesn’t have rapid charging. It took around two hours for me to charge the watch from around 8% to 100%. As other reviewers have pointed out this is a device that needs regular charging and if you’re a hardcore outdoorsman or do lots of camping, this could be a drawback. I use mine mostly as a fitness tracker and with the feature to raise your wrist to turn on the screen turned off, I get almost two full days of use before I have to charge the watch. So the standard Apple Watch starts at around $400 while the 44mm SE can be had for around $250. There must be some compromises right? Indeed there is. The SE lacks a pulse oxygen sensor that its bigger brother has. It lacks the VO2 Max readings. It lacks the ECG capability. The SE is water resistant but unlike its bigger brother it is not suitable for diving. It lacks a QWERTY keyboard for things like messaging (though this can be remedied through third party apps.) In lieu of a QWERTY keyboard the SE has a scribble feature for things like messaging. This allows you to literally write the letters one at a time with your finger instead of typing. It sounds tedious but I actually found it pretty cool and intuitive. It’s great for quick messages. And of course, you can press the microphone button to dictate your message and the speech recognition works great for me. Where the Apple Watch really shines is its integration with the iPhone and its app support. It has around 40,000 apps already available, the most of any wearable. There are great apps like Autosleep for example that can give you more advanced sleep tracking than the built in Apple app. It integrates seamlessly with the iPhone and you can customize and change settings on your watch quickly and easily using the Watch app on your iPhone. It also integrates beautifully with the Apple Health app. My wife and I use the MyFitnessPal app to track our diet macros and calories and the watch works great with this app. In summary, if you’re a hardcore fitness person, a marathon runner, have a heart condition, or simply must have every metric imaginable, or you like to go scuba diving, save up a bit more cash and go for the latest generation standard Apple Watch. If you’re just a regular guy like me who wants to get fit and enjoys activities like walking and hiking, wants to effectively track your level of fitness and sleep, than the SE is a great product at a very reasonable price! I’m very happy with my purchase. There are so many great apps available, the SE is very capable at not at all underpowered, and it shares many of the features of its bigger brother. I can enthusiastically recommend the Apple Watch SE 2nd Generation. Read more

Gave one each to my family for Christmas. They loved it and moreover, they continue to love it. They are continually using their watches to monitor their health and activities. As they were gifts I gave I can't attest to battery life etc. but I've heard no complaints from the recipients. A given that we're going on a year since last Christmas and both my son and daughter in law continue to wear and use them I'd say that's something I'd recommend for any Apple user. Read more

I’ve been resisting getting an Apple Watch as I don’t wear watches but my wife and friends talked me into this one. I wish I’d gotten one sooner. I was a little apprehensive about getting one on Amazon but this one was obviously brand new and it works fine. I haven’t had any reason to contact the seller which is a good thing. It was east to set up and it’s nice having a watch that syncs with all my other Apple products. The SE was a good value for the price as it has all the features I need. Highly recommend it. Read more

I felt this was the best value for my money. I was already familiar with my earlier apple watch so the mobile app was good and easy to use just like with my series 2. If you are considering this watch look at the difference between the SE and 8 or 8 plus. Further, if battery life is an issue the 8 plus offers by far the longest battery life. They have the always on face and a couple of features which the SE does not. The always on face and other features were really not important to me. However, go to the Apple Website and look at the feature comparisons. They may very well be worth you spending a little more money for the upgrade. You can't go wrong with an Apple watch just make sure you get the watch you want with the features that are important to you. Read more
