Apple Wireless Keyboard with Apple Magic Bluetooth Mouse Renewed

I am not going to lie; I was rather intimidated by some of the mixed reviews of this product. However, the product I received was in excellent condition. There are a few barely noticeable scratches, but in overall fantastic condition for the price. The pictures taken for the product were taken using a 25mm lens on a micro four thirds camera. Some of the close-in pictures were taken using a 10mm or a 26mm extension tube to show the detail of the condition. The keyboard was in excellent shape. The keys looked untouched. All the resting pads on the bottom of the keyboard looked brand new. The only noticeable wear on the keyboard were some slight abrasions on the underside of the keyboard (hairline scratches) and some dirt buildup in the battery bay and the power button circles. All of the wear is minimal and unnoticeable unless inspected very close. The mouse, on the other hand, contained quite a few hairline scratches along the entire plastic based top cover and some black specs embedded in the surface. Again, this is not remarkably noticeable unless you have a light shining on it. The black specs were simple to remove and came off with some scrubbing. As for the functionality; both products work as expected. The keyboard and mouse connect with no problem. All keyboard keys operate smoothly, no binding or abnormalities. The mouse also works perfectly fine. My only quibble with the mouse it that it does not glide as nice in comparison to other mice I own. However, that is just due to its construction. The mouse has two long strips of hard plastic on the bottom of the mouse used to make it glide on the mouse pad. These rails generate more friction on the mouse pad in comparison to the standard alternative to four low friction, small contact pads on the bottom of other mice. The mouse gestures for scrolling and other features works great and make up for its high friction underbelly in my opinion. Overall, a great purchase. Read more

When I first ordered it I was a bit worried because of the negative reviews but when I recieved it I was amazed. It looks brand new and it works great! At first when I picked up the package it was so light I though nothing was in it so i was pretty surprised how light it was. It also saved me so much money and it functions the same as a brand new one would cost. The keyboard it self is amazing to type on and useful. I bought this because I wanted to type on my ipad because writing by taping on a screen is a bit frustrating especially when you are writing something long. I would definitely recommend this to people that is looking for a good quality bluetooth keyboard and mouse! Read more

My review is about the condition of the product and not the product itself. I bought this set for one of my employees and use the same mouse/keyboard combo myself. When the items arrived, I couldn't believe how awful they looked. I saw it said "Certified Refurbished" in the description but I'm certain that Apple did not certify these items. The mouse arrived with deep scratches, a loose click mechanism and a battery door that was difficult to get to attach. The keyboard worked fine for few days until one of the keycaps broke off. Both devices also had people's names associated with them when my employee opened the Bluetooth menu to pair them up. I had to send the items back for a refund. Read more

I received my order today and the mouse worked fine. However, the battery compartment on the keyboard was sealed shut. I tried both a coin and flathead screw driver and it would not budge. How that got past quality control I have no idea. It makes me think, if they missed that how much confidence could I have in them fixing a more significant USB keyboard defect. Because of Amazon's great return policy I was able to return my other shipment and was willing to give the company another try with a replacement. This time the keyboard i received looked and functioned like new. If I would have received it like this the first time it would have gotten 5 stars. Great product and price.
