amazing worth the price

Amazing! This heater works well and amazing for the price. It can definitely be a little difficult to hide because its well sized. It comes with a sticker which works amazing. The knob to change the temperature is a little bit of a workout but doesn’t give me a whole lot of trouble. I haven’t had any issues so far it keeps the temperature pretty stable and doesn’t fluctuate. I would just say to be careful when handling with (like all aquarium heaters). Read more

Good for 20 gallon

Arthur MorganMarch 13, 2026✓ Verified purchase

My snail is sitting on it lol. It works really nice I thought it wouldn’t heat my 20 gallon but it does. The knob can be hard to turn and adjust though once it sets for a while. Read more

Satisfied Customer So Far

I received my heater/thermometer strip combo today. The price point is great for what looks to be a quality product. Although the dial to adjust the temperature is a bit tight, it wasn’t hard at all to turn it to set as I’ve read in several reviews. I’d prefer it that way instead of being on the loose side for safety’s sake. Installation was a breeze. No problems whatsoever with the two suction cups. They latched securely onto the side of my tank first try and without having to apply any pressure. The heater seems to be working as it should. I have a male electric yellow lab cichlid that can handle fluctuations in temperature. I’ve had this fish for a year now and I’ve never used a heater before in my aquarium so I have it set to the lowest recommended temperature for cichlids. I will come back to update my review later when I have given this heater plenty of time to prove its functionality and durability. Its size is just perfect for my aquarium. Read more

Don’t Buy

AshMarch 21, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I replaced a water heater that I’ve had for about 3 years, I was using it in a homemade incubator to create moisture but I upgraded my beta tank and wanted to put my nice heater in the tank and get this heater to put in my incubator. I put this new one in an extra tank I had to test quality. It kept the temperature pretty consistent so I switched them and put this one in my incubator. This is kind of my fault as I should have known better then to mess with my system in the last week. But sometime after I had checked the temperature and moisture before going to bed (was perfect) the water heater went out in the middle of the night and wouldn’t turn back on the next morning. When I checked in the morning it was as dry as a desert in there and the eggs were cold to the touch (day 20) I immediately replaced the water heater with the original one and still saw a little bit of movement from some of the eggs! I was hopeful but by day 23 all of the eggs died. I’m really disappointed. I should have known better than to buy an 8$ water heater. But Regardless of price, it should have lasted longer then 2 days. I want to add that I have successfully hatched other batches of chicks before this and have never had issues. Read more

Water heaters pretty great. Super easy to assemble since it’s pretty much good to go. Pretty slim and tiny and eats much cheaper than the big box stores. Read more

Great heater

This heater has been great! Just take in consideration the size of your tanks when ordering. I had a 2 gallon tank and it barely fits. It warms the water nicely. Read more

Needs a little work

JullieNovember 26, 2025✓ Verified purchase

This is nice and compact and I like that it has a light to tell you when it’s running however it does fall short in a couple other areas. As other reviewers have said it’s not consistent with heating. The thermometer that comes with it really doesn’t work so don’t count on that. Unfortunately, the numbers on the top if they are under the water those numbers wipe off so then you can’t see what temperature you set it at. I’ve had it at the office for maybe a month or so and constantly I’m checking the water temperature. I have it set at 82 (I would be guessing- since no visible numbers) and the temperature stays around 78 to 79. The dial is a little difficult to turn as well. It’s very tight. Read more
