The AQUANEAT Circulation Pump is a compact and efficient solution for adding water movement to smaller aquariums. Its 480 GPH flow rate is powerful enough to keep the tank clean and simulate natural currents without disturbing fish or plants. The suction cup mount holds the pump firmly in place, even after weeks of use. It runs quietly, which is a big plus if your tank is in a bedroom or quiet space. The swivel head makes it easy to direct the flow where it’s needed most. Setup was straightforward, and it started working right out of the box with no issues. For the price and performance, this pump is a solid addition to any small to mid-size tank. Read more

Great circulating pump for my 250gal. Fish tank and it’s still working very easy to install very good power no noise unless the water level gets below it other than that you will not hear a noise from it Read more

had the smallest one which seemed to really wip the water around but got clogged and eventually crapped out. No obstruction just refused to operate but got really hot unplugged it and it never turned on again, replaced it with a bigger one (refunded) and they seemed to of sent me one with a yellow impeller it big seems strong(Maybe issues were cause by bad impeller theyve now replaced?) Or they were being nice and sent me a better model i dont know either way ill update Recommendations- If you have any small plants (javamoss) it will clog this for a solutionyou can put this thing in a bottle and make a diy filter(inspiration from King of DIY youtube, he has guide but you will have to modify) I dropped this thing in a lava rock weighted bottle stuck to the bottom and let it push the water up and it doesnt clog(use of foam/sponge to block debris from entering but allow water to flow. got PVC? A dome and a few pipes you can do something similar, pushing the water wherever you want. keep this on a strip to be safe. overall its worth the money but not if these keep stb. Read more

I love these things. I have two of them in my 75 gallon (opposite ends, creating a oval gyre). They work great, I do disable once a week for cleaning and that is it. The suction cups work great, the flow is great, 0 noise level. I highly recommend these. Read more

Plenty of power for the price, but not too much power for my tank (40 gallons). Really clears up the water in combination with an in-tank foam filter and an exterior canister filter. The fish also love to play in the current it creates. However, as another Customer ('mike') mentioned in their review ('Great Until It Stops Working'), mine stopped working after the exact same amount of time. I purchased mine on Sept. 9 and noticed it was no longer working on Nov. 24; and it was no longer returnable. Initially I couldn't figure out how to take it apart, but again thanks to mike, I was able to twist apart the basket. (There's a simple notch-thread in the middle of the basket, but it seems to be threaded backwards.) I pulled out the impeller and, not finding any obstruction, just put it back together, put it back in the tank, and plugged it back in. It was working fine again. It seems like the impeller gets disconnected from whatever spins it. Initially I thought this may have been due to the fish nudging the basket around, or that the wave maker should be mounted horizontally or pointing upward so that the impeller doesn't gradually slide away from whatever spins it. So I adjusted the angle too. I also attached a piece of thread to the basket so I would know on sight whether or not it was working (see picture). On 12/2, the propeller was still spinning but the flow was dramatically reduced. Again the impeller seemed to have slipped away from whatever spins it. I pushed it back in, increased the angle upward. On 12/3 the same issue recurred. I took out the impeller, which had a fair amount of play (a gap between the elements on the thin metal rod that runs through them). I pushed on both ends to try to reduce the amount of play, put it back together again, and it's working again. But I'm really sick of dealing with this over and over. I expect it to fail again, at which point I will upgrade. I don't recommend this product. 12/8: The wave maker failed again. Throwing it out. Don't buy this, it's a piece of junk. Read more

I recently purchased two units to use as circulation pumps in my reservoirs. Both arrived on time and in good condition. One pump performs flawlessly and works exactly as advertised. However, the second unit has a faulty suction cup and doesn’t circulate as effectively as the first. Despite this, I still feel the product offers great value for the price and would buy again. Hopefully the quality issue was just a one-off. If not for the issues with he second pump, the review would have been better. Read more

Works well. It did quit one time but I took the propeller out and put it back in. Has been working fine now for approximately 2 weeks. Read more

Installed this into a 55 gallon. Good device in that it is highly adjustable and best of all: basic and simple to use. Creates a nice current, but not too strong to upset fish. I find that with proper adjustment you can create a flow towards the filter intake. I have done this and it appears that my filter has been working a bit better. Interestingly enough my fish swim into the flow and then let the current carry them, swim back and repeat. The suction cup could work better however, there were a couple of times where it detached and started blowing substrate all over the tank. Doesn’t make any sound that I can hear, unless of course it’s pointed up too much; this will create a lot of waves. I keep in on a generic outlet timer. Working great! Read more
