After owning two Aquaquest Guide tarps, I've become a fan of their products. This bivy is well made, lightweight and appears to be waterproof. I like having the ability to ensure my sleep system stays dry when the possibility of unexpected stormy weather presents itself. I have at least one of every tarp, tent and/or bivvy that Aqua Quest makes…to sum it up in one word; Stellar. I cannot say that Aqua Quest is “the best” as I have not tried everything on the market etc bla bla bla. What I can say is that my Hilleberg Nallo 2GT took a dump on me during a VERY windy weekend in the Colorado Rockies - they measured wind speeds at 101mph both at the Colorado Springs airport and the Pike’s Peak weather station and , had I not brought some Aqua Quest stuff with me I may have died from exposure. I’m going to make this review short and sweet. Please, for the love of God, stop using Velcro on sleeping products!!! I’m not sure where people got that idea from. I had to cut it off, it stuck to my thermals, then I woke up without my beanie on because it was stuck to the Velcro. The three stars isn’t for that though, it’s because the cover is loud, quite loud in fact, enough to draw ire from my hunting buddies every time I rolled over. I can't believe I owned other bivy's This is by far the best. just get one and never look back. I tested all of my bivy's for a week and this is the only one that worked/survived and kept me dry. This bivy sets the standard for all others. Read more

I use this to keep my personal sleep system dry during our field problems the Bivys they issue us are only water resistant for about 30 minutes, I was at company STX and it started raining out of my platoon I was the only one with a dry bag by morning.
