Fantastic product. Getting this big size is the best value, and cheaper than other stores on most occasions. My goldfish prefer this brand and the taste of the flakes over two other brands I tried (Tetra, Wardley). The flakes are large and whole in all the bottles I received. Of course because the flakes are fragile and break easily, as you get to the bottom the bottle, it will be much smaller flakes. On two rare occasions, out of 6 bottles in a year, one bottle had a very hard piece of flakes jammed together (about the size of a chewed up piece of gum). Another bottle had a smaller similar piece. Both times, I caught the hardened flakes piece while I was spooning around in the bottle. Read more

I have two huge comet goldfish and a Bronz Cory, (i think thats their breeds). The goldfishes are picky and they like this. I used to use Waverly flakes. Waverly/Hartz no longer make the flakes, so I had to search for alternatives. They hate sinking pellets and didn't like any other flakes. I did find a supplier on Etsy but the quality wasn't consistent. I found Aqueon at a local pet store tried they liked it -sold. I like this size. I used to have to order a huge amount at one time, this size is perfect. Read more
