This is a really nice and thick sweater. I am 5'6"/weigh 152 and I ordered my normal size Large. This sweater fit nicely, not tight and not baggy. I used the size chart to help decide on a size and the measurements seem very accurate. I do prefer for my sleeves to be a little bit more snug so I used my sewing machine to stitch the sleeves up ever so slightly. This also helped the ruffles at the sleeve to not stick out as much. Overall a very versatile sweater with scalloped neckline and sleeves that give it a dressy look that could be worn when dressing up or could be worn casually also. First, I'd like to say thank you to those who offer reviews with your body size, weight and height. A review without those items, while I appreciate an opinion on the item's appearance, doesn't help with sizing. This sweater is super cute! I got the one in solid teal which is a gorgeous color. It seems to be very well made, and I especially love the ruffled detailing at the neck and wrists, a nice feminine touch. I do find it comfortable without a thin layer underneath and feel it will be pretty warm. I am 62 years old and have a hard time finding age appropriate clothing. I don't want to try to pretend I'm younger nor do I want to actually LOOK like a grandmother. Along with those 62 years comes a belly and a butt though. I weight 145-150 lbs and am muscular, I am 5'3", and usually wear a large in clothes made outside the US. I did order a large, and it fits just right. However, if you are interested in a looser fit, I'd suggest sizing up one size. If I order another one of these sweaters I'll order an XL for layering. I likely will. This ruffle sweater is cute style. Three stars because I find the vertical pleats very annoying and irritating to my skin as I prefer solid. Also, the sleeves are extremely too long past my wrist as I had to roll up the sleeves. I do like the white color ruffle hem line for the neck collar and wrist ruffle which contrast against a sky blue color. It is rather a thick sweater which is good for winter or a cold autumn day wardrobe wear. Read more
