I’ve used a lot of rangefinders over the years, but this Arccos Smart Laser Rangefinder is on a completely different level. It’s not just giving you distance—it’s actually helping you play smarter golf. The “Plays Like” feature that factors in slope and wind is a game-changer. You’re not guessing or doing mental math anymore—it gives you a number you can actually trust and swing with confidence. What really sets this apart is the AI integration. Pairing it with the Arccos system gives you strategy insights and green maps that go beyond basic distance. It starts to feel like you’ve got a caddie in your pocket, helping you make better decisions shot after shot. If you’re serious about improving your game, this is where the value really shows up. The build quality is excellent. It feels solid in your hand, locks onto the flag quickly, and the optics are clear and sharp. I’ve had no issues picking up targets, even at longer distances. The slope toggle is also a great feature—easy to turn off for tournament play, which keeps everything compliant without needing a separate device. Battery life has been solid so far, and the overall performance is consistent. It’s quick, accurate, and reliable—everything you want in a rangefinder, plus a lot more. The first year of included features is a nice bonus, especially if you want to really dive into the data and improve your game. Overall, this isn’t just a rangefinder—it’s a full-on golf improvement tool. If you’re looking to step up your accuracy, course management, and overall performance, this is absolutely worth it. This rangefinder is a great addition to my golf gear. It is very easy to use and provides accurate distances quickly, which really helps with club selection and overall confidence on the course. The AI-powered “plays like” distances are a standout feature. Taking slope and wind into account makes a noticeable difference and helps give a more realistic distance for each shot. The added strategy features and green maps are also very useful and add more value than a standard rangefinder. I really like that you do not need a subscription for it to work. The subscription simply adds more functionality, which is great because you can choose to add it at any time rather than being required from the start. The case is another highlight. It is solid, does a great job protecting the rangefinder, and is easy to open and close. Because of that, I can keep it in the case while driving from shot to shot or hole to hole without any hassle. This is definitely worth the price, and I love that it has a tournament feature so I am able to use it instead of having to leave it in my bag or at home. Overall, this is a smart, feature-packed rangefinder that delivers accurate information and adds real value on the course. Read more

I love that this is packed full of features. It feels good in the hand and is easy to operate. Being able to adjust the brightness levels quickly is very important and useful. It runs on a CR2 3V lithium battery. The app is packed full of useful information to help your game I have added a couple screenshots from the app. I used the rangefinder before installing the app and just looking around the backyard at trees, fence and birds you get a really nice clear picture. The ability focus the eyepiece brings it in crystal clear. The app request a ton of information, almost making it feel like a task. One can skip through it or at least some of it but there's a trade-off for that because then you may not be getting the most accurate information for the particular hole or shot you're taking. Another thing that I did not like was that although the first year comes with the rangefinder you cannot access the information with the rangefinder unless you put in credit card information. With all the craziness with identity related things going on in this time, it's hard for me to put in credit card information on an app that I downloaded 10 minutes prior. I feel like with the first year being included I should just have the liberty of using it at Will until that year has nearly expired. I could understand at a couple months prior to expiration being asked for a payment information but at this time I'm just not comfortable. For that reason I took off a star. But with the build quality, the feel of the rangefinder in the hand, the available features, the absolutely wonderful well-made case for it and the fact that it's magnetic and you can just stick it on the side of the golf cart, it's definitely five star materia. If and when I decide to put in my credit card information to be able to use the app I'm quite sure this will help me have more fun at the very least if not improve my game. Although I know I'm not paying for the subscription right away and the first year came with the rangefinder had I known I would've had to enter credit card information into an app I've never used before, before I could actually use most of the features I probably would have passed on this model. Make It Fig—March 20, 2026
I was not really happy with this item just because it it for golf ONLY. I have other rangefinders and find them useful. I am not a golfer and use a rangefinder most often for target shooting and sighting rifle scopes. I had expected that I could use this just to get distance using the laser outside a golf course, but it does not seem like you can. Just trying to get a reading it says on the viewfinder "please connect to app". I am building a house and met with a representative from my power company last week. The representative needed to figure the distance from one pole to another to run an underground line. He got the reading using a rangefinder. This in my mind is what these are meant for not golf only. The app, which I did install wants data like what gold clubs you have and what course you are playing. It seems like this would be something you could find in an app, but this is just not what I see a rangefinder being used for. I guess for a golfer that does not want to use this for anything but golf this may work. For me this is worthless, so I will give it away to a golfer. Read more
