I like to be as natural and waste free as possible and I was skeptical when I purchased this but I will never go back to regular dish soap! This last forever, cuts grease really well and doesn't dry my hands out! 10/10 will be buying again! Read more

The soap smells amazing, but it’s just simply not for me. All the extra work just to try to get a simple lather and the soap is not even strong is definitely not worth it. Trying to get a bar of soap, a sponge, and a plate to lather up together sounds like a bad joke because it is. It’s fun just to try something different but this could never replace liquid soap. This dish soap bar is very nice. It is a very nice large size. In smelling the bar out of the package, it has a slight medicinal scent to it. Very slight. I don’t really smell it while using it just when smelling the bar itself. Even my sponge doesn’t smell like it nor do my dishes. But the bar itself does have a slight medicinal smell to it. You only have to rub it a bit on your sponge to really get the studs started. It is not overly sudsy or overly lathery, but has a very nice amount. You also don’t have to rub and rub and rub as you do with some other bar soaps, as I have been using bar soap for quite a long time now. This one you just kind of rub a bit and you’re ready to go. Plus, you don’t have to continually re-rub onto your sponge as you’re doing your entire sink full of dishes. I mean you do a little, but not as much as some other soap bars. Best yet is it actually cleaned the dishes but again the sponge does help with that as well. But then after my dishes were dry when I unloaded the dish rack, you could actually feel the dishes were clean. Some dish bar soaps leave them “moisturized” if you will and they feel weird or they leave them spotty. This left them very clean - looking as well as feeling. I’m very very happy with this bar soap. The true test will see how long it lasts but I have a feeling this will last quite some time. I hope that you have found my review helpful. : ) Enjoy your day! : ) Read more

Cleans well. Soaps up well. Smells like that stuff back in school when someone would throw up and whatever that stuff was they used to clean it with. That’s what this smells like. Super gross. Update: I’ve been using this because I doubt I can return this after using and I spent the money on it already and no matter how much I rinse off some of my dishes they still taste like the smell of this stuff. It’s horrible. I dont recommend buying this. Read more

I hadn't tried solid dish soap before and was curious as to how well it would work. The answer is GREAT! The scent is a nice herbal scent. A little strong if you put your nose right up to the bar but more mellow when you're lathering and washing. It really is nice on the skin and does cut through the grease. My son in law is very much into minimizing our impact on the planet and I also try to be. He jumped at the chance to do dishes so he could also try this out. Hey, bonus! I told him he could do the dishes any time. Because I'm a sharer like that. I think another bar will be ordered soon so he has his very own. If you've wondered how a dish soap bar would work, and are working on minimizing your own footprint, I recommend trying this one. The packaging is true to it's claims and is plastic free, easily recycled. I'm not sure of the cost value, obviously it's more expensive but how long it lasts will be the best answer to that. I don't mind if something that's beneficial to the planet is a bit costlier. I received a round bar rather than the rectangle as shown in the listing. I think I like the round shape better just by looking but they are both the same weight and I'm not sure the shape matters. Read more

This is a pretty cool concept. The bar is nice and it does wash your dishes nicely. You really need to keep it on a soap dish or in a soap dish I think. I put mine in a dish by the sink. It has a light almost tea tree oil smell and it lathers nicely and works okay on your hands as well not drying them out. It cuts through smells, grease and food particles well. I feel like I have to keep putting it on my sponge though so I wash a dish, dab it on the soap and then wash another one It does last a little bit, but it takes some adjustment to use. I did wash out a coffee container which had a very strong coffee scent to it. I had washed it previously with normal dish soap and let it dry and it still smelled heavily of coffee. I washed it with this and the smell is totally gone, so that was impressive to me. Will continue to use this on my hand wash dishes. Read more

I used this dishcleaning soap to clean my crockpot. The bar of soap has such a strong, unpleasant scent, that it made cleaning just this one item an unpleasant task. It's too bad because it seems to be doing a good job of cleaning, but I can't imagine having to deal with that scent every time I want to wash my dishes by hand. Sorry. Read more

Interesting concept. At first I was skeptical. It had an interesting smell. I think it smells like wet cement or a damp basement. Or is it some sort of chemical smell. Whatever it is I love the way it smells. This is a good idea if you're camping or to use in a pinch. I think washing dishes is already a chore so adding an extra step isn't helpful. I just don't feel like I got enough bubbles, which makes me question the cleanliness of the dishes I just washed. So I end up washing them again with regular dish soap. Read more
