The toothbrush is good and I use it often for my dog. The little finger brusher is difficult to use because it slides around your finger and if my dog bites down she chomps my finger! I have been using this at least weekly and daily when I remember, and I haven’t noticed any oral problems with my dogs. I've always wished to find a dog paste with baking soda that really works, because baking soda has always been great on my teeth, & my dentists have agreed, at getting & keeping tartar off. Plus, this is enzymatic! Though only just now used it once, I love the consistency & texrure of the way it spreads easily over my Stacy Joy's teeth, better than other paste been using. & therefor, need less than the other. I always 1st concentrate on Stacy's back teeth, the only ones that are a bit yellow, & seems like when rubbing my bare finger back & forth, that it's working. But after a few weeks, I'll try to update. If i think is good enough, will completely change to it, or maybe alternate, or even use 1 in morn & 1 at night. Chihuahuas teeth arent easy to keep clean & am on a tight budget, plus don't want to put her to sleep at 12 yrs old to clean them. Lastly, I like the long narrow containers because seems like when getting near empty, will squeeze out better & less wastefully. My 4 month old Golden Doodle absolutely loves this. She is the first pup to allow me to brush her teeth albeit they are half puppy teeth and half adult just starting to grow in. I wanted to train her young to allow me so I don’t go through the many expensive dental procedures I’ve encountered in the past for my pups. I use a very tiny amount of paste after wetting the tiny brush side. She enjoys me brushing her teeth and I let her nibble on it for 30 seconds after so she doesn’t fear it. Seems to enjoy the chicken flavor without any issues. Her teeth are sparkling white (which most are at this age) , and no issues at all with her breath. I also think the brushing soothes her gums right now as they are growing in. I use gentle pressure and give lots of kisses while doing it so she learns. I use this once a day at night when she is tired and ready for sleep otherwise she is too hyper and thinks it’s a toy to play tug of war with. I think it’s a great value for the money spent! My only caveat with finger cover is she really bites down on it and it doesn’t allow me to brush as well as the actual brush does. Overall I wish I had done this with my other dogs at this stage prior. I will continue with this routine and brand. Read more

I don't have anything to compare this too as I just started brushing my dog's teeth, but I do not believe any toothpaste (for an animal or human) should smell this nasty. Shouldn't it smell like parsley or something? Instead it smells like something I can't even describe but like a mix of garbage, old canned shaving cream, Nair hair removal, and metal.
