The sling the hospital sent me home with after surgery is flimsy and my arm was sliding out. I'm about 5'7" and based on reviews got a Large. It's a bit big but I'm thankful because it covers my whole arm up to my fingers. Much more comfortable than the other sling. Really like the pockets and the thumb secures my hand to keep my arm in place and not sliding out. Have to wear a sling for 4-6 weeks so needs to be comfortable and supportive. I have tendonitis and the sling I had was probably 40 years old lol. It was not supportive and very uncomfortable. This one is very comfortable the straps are padded and it holds my arm securely. I got the medium and it fits me perfectly Read more
This sling worked out fine. It’s easy to put on, especially with a broken Humerus/shoulder. It has a pocket for your phone, and the velcro is padded so it does not rub skin. The price is reasonable. Read more
I fell on my right shoulder in 2006, which was mildly painful over the years, but manageable. I had an old sling I used when I first fell, and it was good enough. I've since developed Osteoarthritis in that shoulder, and the other day, had a huge flareup that was really painful and felt like it was spasming. I knew the only way to help it heal was with a sling. My old one just didn't do the trick, so I looked for a better one, and this sling is DEFINITELY the one! I ordered a Small size - I'm 5' 2", 103 lbs. - and it fit perfectly! The sling stays up on my elbow, the old one kept slipping off. It has a nice wide strap that goes over my left shoulder, with a removable cushioning strap for the shoulder and attaches to the arm part of the sling with a nice big snap in buckle - easy on, easy off by myself. The length of the strap is adjustable for the perfect fit. My old sling had an adjustment thing that rested right in the middle of my back - OUCH! I needed a sling ASAP. I had a torn rotator cuff and my physical therapist said I had to keep it in a sling .I want you to know that I ordered this and I received it within 24 hours. As soon as I put it on. I could tell it was Exactly what I needed. The quality is great, the price you cannot beat it, it supports my arm in a way that older slings years ago did not. It even has a part for your thumb so that your hand and fingers don’t get extremely tired. I never even would’ve thought of that. Make sure and measure and get the proper size. I was right on the cusp between medium and large and I ordered a large and I wish I would’ve ordered the medium. My elbow doesn’t sit 100% back. But even with that- the speed I received this item, the way it is designed it’s perfection. I am telling you the quality is really great. The part that goes around your neck has got padding.
