Great product!

Extremely simple and effective! Point of caution!!!!! Before you screw the plate in, i HIGHLY advise popping the door trim off and placing more shims between the stud and frame. The long screws will go into the stud and draw the frame in if there are not shims installed where its installed. Add some shims to fill the void, screw in the plate. Replace the trim. Easy peezy! Takes bout 5-10 minutes tops. When my door was busted it apparently damaged the door lock striker. It doesnt retract all the way when the knobs turned and is catching on the plate. Its not the plates fault if thats happening it means you probably need to also replace your damaged door knob mechanism. Just a heads up. Read more

It will also close the gaps in your door to prevent any kind of prying. Just make sure there’s a gap enough for it. I installed this product over the existing plate.
