Guaranteed to have tons of fun!

This buggy is fantastic. It is very durable; having run at least 20 packs through it, nothing has broken surprisingly. My main driving style is offroad "bashing" and although it may not be perfectly suited for it, it does a very good job. It has had quite a number of good crashes and it just gets back up and asks for more! It is also quite fast; on 4S it is likely the perfect power level for most people and you will have plenty of fun. On 6S this thing turns into a monster and the power is almost too much.. but thats not a bad thing lol. The only issues I've had with this RC is that when you try to run 2 battery packs, the body will not fit properly. Some people have batteries that are small enough to make it work but yours likely wont fit and you will want to buy single 4S or 6S packs for it. The other thing is not really the buggies fault but on 6S power, I cannot for the life of me get the tires to stay on the darn wheels!! It has so much power that the tires inevitably separate from the wheels; I have tried re-glueing, adding more glue, etc and so far nothing has worked. I love the Proline Badlands tires but they just can't keep up; if you plan to run 6S on this thing, you may have to invest into a set of BELTED tires for it. All in all, this thing is a blast and is definitely worth every penny! Read more

Ton of fun, great right out of the box.

Thing is a blast to drive around. Fast out of the box, nothing has broken thus far despite the abuse. Fun to modify with the interchangeability of parts in the Arrma catalog. Great value for the price. Read more

Spectacular car

GoingElectricDecember 26, 2023✓ Verified purchase

This is not a car for the faint of heart. It’s is big, heavy and dangerously fast. It is a very well-designed, tough car. Wholeheartedly recommend it to EXPERIENCED rc enthusiasts. Don’t get this for young kids or new drivers. But if you have been into the hobby a few years and have significant space to run it, go for it! I’ve been into the hobby off and on for 40 years and still won’t run this car in the neighborhood with kids around for fear of the damage it can do if it got away. Read more

Get ready for beast mode with this one!

This Typhon TLR 6s has thoroughly impressed me and lived up to the hype. I've only run it on 6s so far, even though it's 4s capable. Tons of power and agile. I can have it rolling at least 45mph and hammer the throttle and it wheelies and keeps the front wheels up easily. I did change the center differential to the alloy Arrma part and put 500k fluid in it to keep the front end down a little. Seems tough so far because I've cartwheeled it a few times. It's been summer here in So Cal and hot, yet the buggy has never had a thermal shutdown. I installed the Krayton hubs on it and put on the Proline Badlands tires. It's no wonder this platform has been around and continues to stay around. Read more

Awesome Car - Fantastic Deal

HughesNovember 29, 2023✓ Verified purchase

This is an amazing car that can hang with kit-builders on the outdoor race courses. I had been eyeballing this car since the summer and at $640, its a great deal if you want to dip your toe into competitive racing at less than half the cost to build from a kit and choosing electronics. I figured I would wait and see if there would be a Black Friday deal and just so happened to check on a day when the price dropped to $419 and I got one of the last few before they sold out - wish I had bought 2 since it was a steal for what you get! Even if you pay full price, this car is worth every penny - its a bit heavier than some of the kits from Associated and Tekno, but its due to being designed to also bash. You might hear some say that the electonics are so-so, but honestly, you have saved so much money, you can replace and upgrade and still come out on top. Read more

Car had issues right out the box.

CustomerDecember 25, 2024✓ Verified purchase

Once I opened the box and pulled the new car out I immediately noticed several screws loose. After giving the car a good once over tightening all screws and fasteners, I took the car out for its first drive. Almost immediately, one of the wheels flew off the unit (I must have missed that loose nut) and the nut was laying in the grass. Luckily I found the nut and secured the wheel back to the car. I made a couple more passes in the grass of a baseball field. After only a couple rounds the cars center differential exploded leaving the car useless. Needles to say I returned the car hoping I just got a dud. Read more
