A great brushless basher!

DJ MinWahJanuary 13, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Yes!! I've gone from many brands (Tamiya, HPI, Traxxas) and building to RTRs as well, but this is my first time going brushless. The power difference shows as I'm mainly using my vehicles in the yard and for pest control, chasing animals off of the property. My brushed vehicles, while working in low-cut grass, may still struggle even if the vehicle already has momentum. This thing doesn't worry about that and flies along my yard and can maintain or exceed the speed of the others. Watching pests freak out at how fast this thing is coming towards them easily scares them off. And then when I'm not doing pest control, this thing has been a joy to bash, as the speeds it gets up to easily does wheelies pr how it gets air, even on the smaller bumps. It's something my brushed vehicles don't do as easily. I like the design for the wide body as it seems to help it keep stable at higher speeds. This thing is meant for bashing on dirt. You can play with this on the street but you'll wear out your tires much quicker, so consider buying extra tires if all you're going to do is use it on pavement. I would've liked a better design to include a front bumper but I don't run my vehicles heavy like that. All of the parts seem solid and I haven't broken anything (yet) but I'm also not bashing it hard. The body looks good and the way it's mounted is also nice compared to other brands. I like that it comes with a wheelie bar as for one of my other vehicles, I had to purchase that separately. I'm using 2S LiPo and that is plenty for me as I'm not so sure I need 3S for the higher top speeds. The Spektrum setup with the motor, transmitter, servo, and controller are perfect. It's easy to fine tune your total speed and alignment. I also like that this controller uses less batteries, about half the AAs compared to my other controllers. This is going to be my main vehicle until something else catches my fancy. Recommended. Read more

Vorteks very fast and turn happy. 2S 100% power sweet spot. 3S 100% is nuts.

I own two Quakes, two Fury’s and now two Vorteks. I have both brushed and brushless versions of the Fury & Vorteks. If you want max value the brushed versions with Nimh battery and S20 charger is great all in one package. The downside is the speed is limited to about 25mph. The Nimh is a safer to charge and store battery better for youth. The brushless Vorteks/Fury are faster using the same 2S battery. 75% speed on brushless is about 100% on brushed. But put the brushless at 100% and it’s a good jump faster. Now drop in a 3S battery only on the brushless model and your speeds are crazy fast approaching 60mph. This Vorteks is great especially at 2S power as you can really hammer down the power and it is pretty good at staying planted due to the low center of gravity. The Fury has a longer wheel base so makes it easier to put the power down without spinning out and more stable at speed. The Quake is amazing and best all rounder with the plush suspension and big tires. It floats over grass and off road driving MUCH better which for me makes it far more usable. Keep in mind heavy pavement use really wears the tires out so consider buying a road set right away to preserve your knobby tires for dirt. Read more

Paul HansonMarch 2, 2026✓ Verified purchase

would not buy,the battery storage is onnthe bottom of chasis, theres no way of securing a 5000mA battery in there, uou have to move the esc up a notch just to reveal a opening where you can fit a battery cable through to fit battery in there ,first pass batery cover clip busted off and no replacements available,i wouldnt recommend the 2w drive version, maybe the 4wd version though id go with Read more

Use it as a dog toy with basically zero maintenance or repairs.

Andrew T.April 1, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I love this car. I use it solely as a car that my pitbull chases. I have had to do zero repairs. Only thing I needed to do was put the servo save back on the horn and tighten the screw after my dog got a good hold of the front wheel. No broken parts from that or any other "succesful captures" fast enough for him on 2s. Also does wheelies whoch is always a good thing. My pictures show a 4 month old daily driven car for my dog that I have done nearly zero maintenance on. Body went quick but I just duct taped the pieces back together and still use the og quick release body pin. Read more

Great, just needed rebinded to controller.

Untold LucidityNovember 13, 2025✓ Verified purchase

It crashed into my neighbor's car because the control wasn't binded correctly out of the box. But this thng is a beast, if you are off roading a lot especially in grass it's worth to get the 4wd. But, I love the 2wd. It's has DCS and it's great. I use a 3s 5000mah bat. The battery slot is too small and I'll have to modify it for the plug to have room. However it does fit if you put it in just right. Great car, more than enough even at 75 throttle. 100 will get you into trouble really quick with crashing itself without even hitting anything. Serious power. 1 star down because binding instructions do not work, Google Gemini had a different set of instructions that did work, and we're much simpler. And the binding issue. Read more
