Absolutely Perfect. Just what we were looking for. We bought these lamps going by the reviews, we originally thought they would be a little short, but liked them so much decided to five them a try. Very happy with these lamps; they are of substantial weight and look great. Assembly was easy and the product arrived without any manufacturing defects or damage during transit. Packaging was secure. We got these because they look beautiful next to our bed. As the lights have two pulls, one for each lightbulb, we set them each up with a bright bulb for reading, and a "soft glow" bulb for atmosphere. We've had them for over two years, and love them. If any disaster were to befall them (e.g. through movers breaking them), we'd re-buy them in a heartbeat. The only thing that stops me giving them five stars is that the shallow shade means you can't use large or long bulbs, but it's a minor quibble. Read more
I ordered these lamps because they looked good and had great reviews. The base of the lamp is exactly how it appears, however, the glass shade isn't as thick as it looks and from the picture I couldn't tell that it isn't smooth. It has a design of little bumps all over the top. If you look really close at the picture you can see them. The main reason for the three stars is that the felt on the bottom of the lamp is very cheap and flimsy. It is also not cut large enough for the lamp so it is peeling off. I tired to pull it a little and make it stick but it was just cut too short. I kept the lamps because I figured they would all be like this. The white foam packing broke in one spot and was all over the black felt...I tried to wipe it off but the specks of white dust stuck to it and can't come off. Otherwise, the lamp is pretty, the light bulbs were easy to put in even after the shade is on and the lamp functions well. Read more

Don't buy this! Glass lamp shade bolt couldn't screw in. The lamp shade didn't fit because it hir the light bulbs. Read more
