I’m so happy with this purchase! We live in a 107 yr old house and these old windows are so lovely. I wanted this room to have lots of natural light while still giving us a bit of privacy from neighbors. Yes you can see outlines of shapes and items but it’s definitely enough privacy for a living room! I would likely not put this in a street facing bathroom that needs more privacy. This brand was a good bit pricier than some other online options, but the quality and texture of the material was worth it. A few tips: definitely clean the windows really well before applying, it helps! I didn’t have a spray bottle so I used a bowl of water and sprinkled a few drops and spread it on the back before applying. Application is easy. Up close I can see some small bubbles, even though I spent a lot of time trying to get them out. From a few feet away I cannot notice the bubbles. Pro tip: don’t apply this at night, like I did, and wasted a whole roll. When I looked at my work in the light of day, even minor errors/cuts were obvious once the light was shining through the window! I’ve attached a few pictures including from the outside at night. Looks great on our street facing windows and character to the home. Quality: worth the cost. It looks better than any other privacy film by far. Install: easy enough. measure twice, cut once. These are pricier so make it count. I’d recommend a yardstick for larger windows to ensure straight lines. We bought a privacy film trimming set also Privacy: The privacy film in combination with curtains on a double curtain rod (sheer and light filtering curtains) meet all our privacy requirements while letting lots of afternoon sun in the house. So... At first I ordered two of the "Regent" design to go in my kitchen and bathroom windows. But upon receiving my order, I got 1 "Regent" design, and 1 wrong not-ordered design called "Magnolia." I wanted to put the film up at night so I could actually see how much real "privacy" it gives, since it's really with the light on INSIDE and it dark outside that you can tell if it's actually blurring enough or not. Well, After applying only half the bathroom window, it was quickly evident that you could see EVERYTHING through the window at night. My husband stood in the bathtub for a close up (and you can see EVERYTHING clear as day), then he backed up as if he was coming out of the shower, and then standing back by the door to the bathroom. All three times you could see the full shape and colors and details of his silhouette (as shown here). So then I got to thinking, well, what if I use the "mess up" and see what happens. So I applied it to the window and it provides WONDERFUL privacy. The only time you could see even a SHADOW of his shape was when he was DIRECTLY NEXT TO the window (standing up in the bathtub section). But when he backed up in the bathroom like most of our use is in the bathroom, you couldn't see ANYTHING. YAY! So ironically, the mess up will stay for the bathroom, and we will use the "Regent" window film for the kitchen where we don't care if the neighbors can see our shape in the kitchen. :) Other than that, it's SUPER EASY to apply. It holds up and doesn't peel off. And it comes off super easy to move or reposition or remove. It IS good quality and thicker and everything it said. So for that, 4 stars. :) UPDATE: I put the "Regent" film on my Kitchen window and they recommend a one sixteenth of an inch edge all the way around between the film and the edge of the window. However, when you do that, it definitely leaves a noticeable gap at the bottom (if you put it flush, minus one sixteenth, at the top). For my bottom part of the window it doesn't matter, but for the top part of the window, it drives me nuts! So I added a little strip of lines to the bottom gap of the top window, and it's not perfect, but I don't notice it so blindingly now so I'm happy. (see last pics) Additionally, this film is stretchy a bit, so take that into account when applying that it can be easily kind of fit into place with it's give. GREAT TIPS: When applying this film, if it's not wide enough for your window (like my window was 33 inches wide but this film only goes up to 24 inches wide), then purposely cut the film AT THE LEAD LINES, as another reviewer mentioned, and it makes the seams practically unnoticeable, unless you point them out. It worked PERFECTLY for me! Another tip, if you need to kind of overlap seams to make them more lined up, all you have to do is wet the window film that's already on the window (so the part facing you when it's laid on the window), and butt or even slightly overlap that seam on the other one, and especially if they're seams cut on the lead lines, this makes them look AWESOME and the film will cling to anything wet (even other film). :) Read more

Perfect privacy solution for our window facing a 2-story apartment. The Prairie Style design goes well with our 1900s house, and the quality of the film was better than expected. I recommend trimming 1” larger on all sides, placing on the widow, and using a small blade to trim the edges for a precise fit. Read more

I got the Old English for my office door and it has been quite the hit! It looks so real that people ask if my window has always been like that, like I had the last leftover cool door in the building. I've sent the link to several coworkers. first I want to say, I really like this window privacy film. Its great, just what i wanted.. I can leave the blinds by my front door open so my plants get the sun they need and because of the thickness of the film there is the privacy i need. It's just beautiful... the problem... I didn't measure correctly ? - because of the way the design is, this one roll wasn't even enough to complete one pane of glass.. I couldn't run the film top to bottom but had to run it side to side and therefor it was just too short... Now I had to order 2 more rolls. Looking now, I could have gone with a cheaper design or found this somewhere else for less. but it is pretty and it did go on easy, stick great to the window. We will see how durable it is.. Just order an extra roll just in case. :) Read more
