I wear medium but like large cozy bath robes. So, after reading reviews, ordered X-large. Right after receiving, thought it is too huge and bulky. Washed it right away on hot wash/dry; it did not generate too much felt. It shrinked overall (~2" in height; it was up to the floor initially; I am 5.6). While still very roomy, it became slightly denser, very soft and as cozy as a robe can get. Plum color remained as is and looks nice. Also, the hood is very roomy. Loops for the belt are on two levels, which is convenient. Before washing, both were too low for me. after washing the top ones are right for me. Overall, highly recommended. Read more

the robe is 100% cotton as listed (not always the case once you receive the product) it's very soft after washing (delicate, cold, tumble dry no heat) and the (one size up) fit is not terrible though not everything I wanted. Like many, I was looking for a long voluminous robe. Like many, finding one is basically impossible. My partner has a terry cloth robe from thinkgeek that's ancient and amazing with a body so full i can wrap it around me twice and it's only a men's medium. I bought this a size up hoping that at the very least I would get decent length. I had little hope for volume as the photo clearly showed this robe has a very narrow skirt, and that has born out with its arrival. Sitting down, the skirt gapes wide open across my legs providing no warmth from the thighs down. Even if I try to pull the edges together, there's simply not enough skirt body to pull together. When I stand the two sides just come together even though both waist flaps are overlapping my front body completely. It seems they cut the skirt portion of the robe down so that it is perfectly straight when you're standing. The last down side, for me, is that this is very clearly sized for a long upper body. I'm not a long upper body. If I leave the robe hanging, and tie the waist where it hangs naturally from my shoulders, its length just barely reaches my ankles - but the sash is at my lower hip. If it tie the sash around my waist it lifts the hem up a solid 6" and now the length is sitting mid calf on me. Since I want the length I'll either have to get used to tying it low, or unpick the sash loops and re-sew them at my actual waist. Read more

I ordered this for me (a male) after getting a lower cost robe (same brand) hat was too thin of a fabric. My wife ordered this version and it was nice and plush so I ordered the XL and it fit me perfectly (in fact a bit big). We use this to walk outside to the hot tub in the cold so we aren't lounging around the house in it. Good absorption but it takes a while to dry. I am 6' 170lbs and it fits well lengthwise but is a tad big, but that's ok. The Xl would fit my son who is 6'1" and 235 :) Read more

So amazing and soft. The fact this has ahold on it just makes it that much more amazing. All the way to my ankles. So so so warm an comfy. I am 130lbs and I always buy robes in way larger size as I love the big snuggly feel. I got an X large and it is so comfy and so warm. So worth the money. I love this robe. This is my second one, and I only bought a new one because I wanted a different color and the old one had gotten ruined by a bleach mishap. I am slightly over 5 foot 5, and I weigh a 170 pounds. The fit is perfect. It comes down to my ankles and is so thick and warm. I put it on right out of the shower instead of using a towel.
