I have a older 40 foot RV that had a backup camera installed but it had seen better days and the monitor was an old CRT model that sat on the dash. This unit uses less power than that and I also get front and especially side cameras. That is a game changer since trying to see safely down the side of the RV with just the mirrors is almost impossible. It installed pretty easily but I had to make several attempts at running the cables for the rear camera since it was right at the length limit of that cable. The monitor mounted in the same place as the old monitor and looks so much better and the video is so much clearer. Night vision seems to work good too. Having recording capability is just an extra perk. I probably won't use and of the other features of the monitor like music or bluetooth since I have a stereo installed to handle those duties. Normally I try to install, setup, etc prior to my reviews but arthritis has had me in a bad way for the past 2-3 months and unable to install this. I'm reviewing simply based on what I see out of the box. I don't know if there were other options for the cameras but the "instructions" show all one type when what I got were two each of two types as seen in the pics. The included "instructions" are just basically instructions on how to mount the brackets. While fairly simple there is nothing about connection or camera location. There are some pics in the listing for that. I suggest you print them. This is all packaged up in a nice retail style box in case you intend to resale. All in all this is a great set. Great product. I ordered this for my husband who had a work trailer he pulls. He decided it would be best to wire it up for his truck and trailer. Ok so, most folks are going to buy this for the 4 channel dash cam, and that's fine it's a great 4 channel dash cam. There's a bit of an install involved (tying into all the turn signal and backup wires and so forth) but...it's a 4 channel dash cam. That goes with the territory. The "super cool feature" that I like most though is the fact it can play MP5 movies if you put them on the SD card and pop it in the slot. And the screen / picture quality is actually really good! So you can have an "extra TV" for the kids to watch movies on or something. That's a nice bonus. And sticking to the "nice bonus" category, it also records. So...dash cam...backup cam...extra TV for the kids to watch movies on...this thing does it all. No complaints, save for the installation. 5 stars. Read more

This is the perfect camera system for my RV! I have just been using my mirrors and am always worried that I will miss seeing a vehicle next to me since there are blind spots. Well, this product has been an excellent solution for making my RV trips much safer with better peace of mind! It did take a fair amount of time to route the wiring and install the system, but the effort was definitely worth it. The video quality is excellent during the day and also at night with the night vision capability. I really like that the monitor has many different split screen viewing modes, and it is simple to navigate the modes and settings using the touchscreen. The media could not be loaded. I was installing this camera system for my teardrop trailer and I think it fits pretty well for my requirement. 4 cameras cover all surrounding of my trailer and the camera resolution is pretty well. It wasn't very hard to install. The length of the cords they provide is more than enough and the only hard part was to organize them. For the power source, it's easy to power up as long as you have a 12v battery. I simply hook it to my camping solar powered AGM battery with a fuse box and it works great. I also like it's user interface, very straight forward and no complicated prompt. 4 split camera window on the right shows R, L, F, B and touch it make it big and touch it back, nothing confused at all. Anyhow, the rest of app seems not that useful, it will be good if I can mirror my phone to the screen since it's a big screen with nice brightness and color. For the night time, all 4 cameras are doing well too. The environment on the screen are clear enough to show the surrounding. So far I am happy with this camera system because it's doing the job I wanted, be my eyes when I was in the trailer. Few things I think it can be improved. 1. The phone mirror or sync function. 2. A built in mercury battery so that clock time can be restored. 3. Adjustable side cameras, now my side view is tilt because my trailer wasn't flat. Other than that, I think over all quality is good! Got this to test if it would be a great Jeep system. Forward cam, back cam and then a front axle and rear axle cam. It is definitely great for my setup. With a soft top rear window and living on gravel, a replacement for rear view was needed. This is definitely great and creative. It did require me getting a little creative at getting it stuck to the window and replacing my mirror completely. Read more
