I’ve gone through plenty of athletic tape over the years but this eco friendly set really surprised me in the best way. The adhesive is strong enough to stay put through training sessions yet it tears cleanly and wraps smoothly without that stiff plasticky feel. I used it mainly for my wrists and fingers when working out and it gave me the compression I needed without restricting my movement. What I appreciate most is the biodegradable design; it feels good knowing I’m not adding more plastic waste every time I tape up. The fact that it’s zinc oxide free is a bonus for anyone with sensitive skin. With three rolls in the pack; I’m set for a while and I’ll definitely reach for this brand again. If you want reliable support with a lighter environmental footprint, this tape delivers. Good quality with a great value for the money. Read more
This tape has a strong adhesive and a good, slightly textured feel that makes it reliable for wrapping. It works well used on its own and also pairs nicely with gauze when I need extra cushioning or absorption. ✅ Highlights • Strong adhesive that stays put • Nice texture that feels supportive • Sturdy enough for secure wraps • Works well alone or combined with gauze Overall, this is a solid, reliable athletic tape that feels strong and versatile for different wrapping needs. -Review of Flash-Bam "Athletic Tape - Biodegradable Eco-Friendly Sports Tape - Strong Adhesive Athletic Wrap for Ankle Wrist Knee Fingers - Compression Tape for Sports Training Recovery - Zinc Oxide-Free Adhesive (3-Pack)" Read more
This tan athletic tape from the Flash-Bam store is marketed as biodegradable and eco-friendly. Despite its serrated edge, it’s harder to tear than standard white cotton tape, which incidentally is also biodegradable. Some tapes use rayon from wood pulp, known to degrade faster than cotton, but this product doesn’t specify how it compares. One potential advantage of this tape may be that it uses a plant-based adhesive (instead of the standard zinc oxide adhesive.) Zinc oxide does have antimicrobial benefits but can harm aquatic life. Ultimately, which tape is optimal will depend on whether or not antimicrobial properties are desired. Overall, this tape is strong and breathable, performing comparably to traditional white athletic tape. Read more
When I saw this sports tape I knew I had to try it out because a year and a half ago I stepped into a buried hole in my yard and royally sprained my ankle. As a result of this horrific sprain, my ankle now has what appears to be permanent swelling around it, even after 18 months. A physical therapist and my sports massage therapist suggested I use tape to help reduce the swelling and so I am trying this out for this and also to help with carpal tunnel on my wrists. The first thing I notice that is different is that this tape is definitely more breathable on my skin. It was hard to tear with my hands, so I did have to use scissors to cut it which is fine. I wrapped my wrist up and noticed right away how sticky the tape is, but it's not so bad that I had to rip the tape off because my skin is irritated. I am one of those sensitive skin types. This tape is definitely thinner than K tape and I like that and it feels more flexible for sure. Compared to a high quality K tape, this is definitely more flexible, which I think is going to help me with pickleball. Part of my problem with using K tape and/or athletic tape for any length of time is that it comes off because it won't stick and it's not flexible enough. I think this may be the right tape for me! Also, it's eco friendly, which is a plus for our environment and I love how it's packaged. You get three nice size rolls in a paper friendly tube box so it's safe for storing and carrying with you in your gym bag. Try it out and see the difference! Read more
The media could not be loaded. Eco-friendly athletic tape strikes me as a really cool idea, and this product pulls it off really well. The tape is flexible and breathable, and a bit less rigid than traditional options, but it holds really well and feels comfortable. It's a thoughtful product -- very eco friendly.... biodegradable, renewable, etc. Apparently no dyes or chemicals, either. The tape itself is pretty natural, too, using a plant-based adhesive, so it seems like it would be great for sensitive skin. It tore pretty well without scissors for me, and once you get it on, it sticks great and even got through a hot-then-cold shower without peeling. The color is nice, too -- seems very natural and neutral. The logo is nice and subtle and looks really good. Overall I'm very happy with it! Read more
I use this to stabilize my wrist and thumb on those bad days. The tape applies easily. I end up removing the wrap because it is time compared to having the tape come undone. Nice to have something biodegradable both for the product and the packaging. Read more
