I train extensively with heavy weights. That is to say—sports-related injuries are nothing new to me. Several weeks ago, I suffered a serious wrist sprain which prevented me from going to the gym for three weeks! I probably would have been stuck at home for longer had it not been for this tape. At the end of the three weeks, despite still having pain in the wrist, I decided to power through with the help of this tape. It worked! This is your average athletic tape. It is not going to cure your injuries but rather prevent further damage to the muscle. I found the material to be the right degree of thickness. The size is also perfect—it is not too narrow, so it can cover the entire injured area more effectively with fewer wraps. I apply it in about 2–3 wraps around my wrist, slightly overlapping each pass. It stays put on my wrist the whole workout if I apply it the first time without readjusting. If I readjust the tape after the initial application, it doesn’t stick perfectly anymore and might need to be discarded and replaced with a new patch. In the description, it says the tape is hand-tearable. I haven’t tested that as I tear it with my teeth, and it works perfectly fine that way (: Final verdict: I am satisfied with this tape. It gives me peace of mind when I work out without having let my wrist fully heal. I take on about the same weights as I did before my injury with this tape, without sacrificing range of motion.
