The scarves are whimsical. We have had one "fatality" where an egg was left on the ground and was stepped on. The top popped off (no actual cracking) and the little beads sprayed everywhere. Note to parents to be mindful of the age of the child that you give this to. I like when my toddler shares with her sister (under 1 yr), but this isn't one of those toys. Nothing wrong with the eggs themselves, but just not age appropriate when you consider the contents. I bring this up as we have had other egg brands stepped on and they bent vs popped open.
