I wish I’d tried this format sooner. I’ve tried the strips a number of times, but not only did they make my teeth hurt, they were so messy and uncomfortable. This pen is so much easier, cleaner, and comfortable. You just put it on and forget about it. No returning after a set amount of time to remove anything. Also, no weird taste!I’ll definitely have to update my review after a few weeks because I’m only a few days in, so it’s possible that sensitivity comes later or that it doesn’t whiten enough. But I’m not looking for paper white teeth. I’m looking for a natural clean color. The instructions say something about smiling for 60 seconds before use. I’m sure that’s just to make sure they’re dry, so I just dab them with a tissue instead. Read more

It does whiten however, you waste a lot of product! The turning mechanism is hard to turn, and nothing comes out for 10+ turns. Then all the sudden it is oozing out all down the brush, or you use what finally did come out and the next morning the cap is full of product that oozed out overnight. I waited to review this product until I'd seen my dentist, who gave me the thumbs up and assured me that I hadn't harmed my enamel or anything else by using this pen. :) I purchased the pen about 2 weeks before my regular 6-month cleaning appointment and used it as directed...well, less than directed. I'm in my mid-fifties, and my teeth were stained from a LOT of coffee through the decades. They had a yellowish cast to them and were darker towards my gums. I wasn't after paper-white teeth or that weird bluish-white color; I just wanted them to be their natural ivory again, without the discoloration towards the base. This product really delivered. I saw a noticeable lessening of the yellowy tinge and the stains after the first use. By the third use, all stains (ALL) were just gone. My teeth were a healthy ivory again and the color was consistent all the way to the gum line. I didn't experience any burning or irritation at all on my gums, but I can't speak for someone else's sensitivity. The pen is crazy simple to use: A couple of turns of the clicky base, paint your tooth/teeth, and done. No trays. No light. No strips. I especially liked the precise nature of the little brush: Once I was happy with my teeth overall, I concentrated on just painting my canines (which were a little darker than the rest of my teeth). It evened them out beautifully. Note(s): This gel is clear and so is the brush, so don't make the mistake of thinking that there's no gel on your brush and get all click-happy. Give it a second to coat the brush before you rotate the base too many times and end up with a big old glob on the brush. Also, as my dentist pointed out to me, my happiness with the pen was because I wasn't expecting blinding white teeth. I just wanted the stains gone, which it did thoroughly and easily. I didn't even use the pen twice daily for 2 weeks: I felt like great results were achieved after just a few days. If my teeth start to get discolored again, I'll use the brush again for touch-ups. I don't expect that as I'm using a whitening OTC rinse now which seems to work just fine for "maintenance." Excellent product at an affordable price! Read more
Extremely disappointed in the way this product (Auraglow 35% carbamide peroxide whitening pen) arrived to my doorstep. I was very excited to try this product out. After researching the product on line it appeared to have sold reviews and seemed to be among the whitening products that actually work. So I couldn’t wait to try. I paid extra for next day shipping, it arrived the next day at 9am. I picked it up off my porch with in 60 seconds of it being dropped off. First appearance of it , the sticker seal was opened on one end. And when I opened the actual pen it was leaking a ton of the whitening serum inside of the cap. Because of the leak the bristles on the brush were sticky, hard, and dried out. It’s completely unusable, and wasted at least half of the gel. My one star rating is solely based on the way the pen was shipped and how it arrived to me. It does not reflect on weather or not the whitening pen actually works or not. Because I have no idea as I can’t actually use mine. Maybe if Auraglow makes it right by making me whole I will consider deleting this review. And leaving one on an actual product review. Right now I’m just really mad. Paid extra for next day shipping for a product that I’m not even able to use. Read more
