The shredder works great. It is quiet. Does have a good sized receptacle for the shredded paper. I keep it under my desk and home and slide it out to turn it on and shred my papers. It does have wheels which allow it to move easily even on carpet. I would recommend this product. Read more
My aging shredder resigned from its job in a flurry of broken plastic bits. The Aurora has been a delightful upgrade! It's fast, quiet (for a shredder), rolls out of the way when I don't need it, chews through everything I throw at it, and has enough capacity to hold a lot of teeny tiny bits of paper... plus some shredded credit cards for variety. I bought this to replace a 10 year old unit I had that died. It works great, the removable catcher is a really useful feature (my old one I had to remove the head to empty the bucket). The pieces are tiny and the thing runs really quietly. I didn't think for one second that you COULD buy a shredder that didn't have a lock out option. My old one had a physical plastic key that had to be inserted in a slot for the unit to work. This one simply has an on-off button which any kid is going to master in about 5 minutes and quietly shred everything they can get their hands on. Read more
Absolutely love this document shredder, it dose it all, it not only shreds paper but also State IDs, drivers license and CDs and DVDs, paper clips and staples as well as credit cards are debt cards!, it also has anti jam, and it's super easy to use! I highly recommend this! Read more
This 12 sheet Aurora micro cut shredder was packed inside a triwall box so there was no shipping damage worries. The shredder seems to be well designed and is strongly built. Over the years I have used (up) several of the major brand shredders. This will be the last one I buy; it shreds multiple sheets of paper into tiny pieces. (And those do not go to the landfill; they are used for tiny chick bedding and go to the compost pile.) So far, having shredded a 3 ft stack of old files, envelopes, invoices, etc., I am very pleased: cool running, no jams, --continuous use. I give 5* for every feature. It might seem expensive, but it looks like it will outlast two cheper ones. Read more
