I honestly love this AVAPOW 4K Dash Cam! The picture quality is amazing — everything looks sharp and clear, even at night thanks to the night vision and WDR. It’s super easy to connect to my phone with the WiFi 6 and app control, so I can quickly check footage or change settings without hassle. The included 64GB card and hardwire kit are great extras that made setup really simple. What I really appreciate is how reliable it is — the loop recording means I don’t have to worry about running out of space, and the G-sensor automatically saves footage if there’s any impact. This is a super nice dash cam! Set-up was super easy. The item was packed well and included everything needed to get you going. It’s super nice that they include the wire harness for hard wiring (necessary for parking monitoring) and a 12V power adapter plug as well. Both have plenty of wire length to get you where you need to go for power. It even includes a trim tool so you can hide the wires behind the a-pillar trim easily. Since the unit uses a USB-C plug, you can also use your own USB adapter with a USB-C plug on one end. The camera has 4K resolution which is super clear and you can set the video loop length for continuous recording. The App is super easy to navigate and control the camera as well as to retrieve videos. Highly recommended! Read more
The media could not be loaded. I ordered the Avapow 4K mini Dash Cam to ensure that, if there was an accident, I would have proof of what actually happened. I chose this model for many reasons. First, it is very compact, so that it doesn't obstruct the view out of the windshield. It neatly mounts behind the rearview mirror, out of the lines of sight for seeing forward, yet the screen on the unit is still easily viewable. Next, it comes with all of the hardware needed not only to mount it, but also to hide the power wires (clips, tool to tuck wires behind upholstery, and multiple attachment adhesive pads). The power wires are sufficiently long, so that they should be able to reach any power port in the front seat, or console. Also, in addition to the standard 12V plug in, it also comes with wiring that can be run to the fuse panel under the hood, to power it directly from the battery, without taking up a 12V plug in on the car dash. It also allows for the use of additional features, like 24 Hour parking mode, even when the key is not in the ignition. (I have not done this yet, as I plan to have this part done by an auto shop, in the future. A few inexpensive parts, like double fuses, tailored to your specific vehicle, are needed for this connection. However, the wiring instructions are very well explained in the accompanying manual.) The camera comes with a 64GB SD card, and has loop recording, so that current pictures are always filming (rewriting over earlier, non-essential recordings), ensuring that no accidents will be missed, due to lack of space on the card. The WiFi connects effortlessly to the App on my iPhone, when entering the car; and it even verbally greets you, letting you know it is up and running. The App allows easy viewing of the recorded data. There is a very small screen on the cam, but I mainly use it to confirm the unit is on, as there is a flashing red light when it is recording.
