This is the third set of Avaway glasses we've acquired. Avaway isn't a generally recognized name brand. But they have an interesting modus operandi: Avaway's gig seems to be to design premium quality glasses at a premium price, relative to other little-known producers. They're about twice the price of really cheap sunglasses, but you get a lot by paying that premium. All of the Avaway glasses we've received so far are outstanding in their design, materials, and general finish. This pair is no exception. Consider the finer details of these cat-eyed women's sunglasses. The design of the acetate frame is completely unique, with a wavy, rippled border on the top and sides of the lenses. My wife loved this. In sunlight, it looks like there is a gold thread embedded at that border, which looks expensive and eye-catching. In fact this "gold thread" is just a thoughtful design trick: what you are seeing is the light reflecting and refracting off of a well-placed bevel in the frame. As with other Avaway glasses we've received, they've put a lot of thought and care into the design of the packaging. It comes in an expensive-looking box wrapped in an attractive outer sleeve. It would make for a very nice gift for someone who appreciates this kind of careful presentation. Inside the box, the glasses are enclosed in an expensive-looking leather case. The lenses are polarized and crystal-clear. I appreciate the imagination and attention to detail in Avaway's sunglass designs. The company isn't a famous name, but if they keep making glasses of this quality, they stand a good chance of becoming one. Read more

These glasses came very well packaged, in a sturdy box. They have a very nice glasses case for storage. They have a unique shape (cat-like!), and are comfortable to wear. The lenses are dark, which will be good for protection in the bright sunlight. The Polarized protection will protect from UV rays from the sun. These are very nice sunglasses, and will make a good funky addition to your summer wardrobe! Read more

These sunglasses are very attractive in person, I love the clear champagne color of the frames. The lenses are polarized, and have a slight gradient. The tint is medium dark, and is a greenish gray color. The only thing I don't like is the glasses are not as oversized as I had hoped they would be based on the photos. These glasses are super stunning! I loved how they came in the box with a nice durable case. It also comes with a polarising slip of cardboard to test the polarise effect. I have a pretty wide face and was worried about this fitting and looking good. They easily fit, and I really like the overall shape and design. I love that the lenses are polarized - what a huge difference that makes! The frames are a creamy beige/yellow translucent acrylic. Very cute and trendy! I've had, lost, and broken a zillion pairs of sunglasses in my life. And I'm gonna guard these ones! I. Love. Them. They fit perfectly, feel solid and sturdy, and are so pretty. The lenses in mine are not as green as they appear in the Amazon picture - mine seem more gray with a touch of green. The case that comes with them is nicer than most cases I have for prescription glasses. It's really sturdy, doesn't crush easily, and protects the sunglasses so well. They're polarized and a testing card is provided so you can see for yourself. And there's a good sized cleaning cloth, too - not one of those skimpy ones that you end up wiping your fingers all over the lenses! I'm so happy with these! Read more
