I brought a new rod for bass fishing. Used the rod and caught a few fish quickly. On the way home I accidently snapped the tip off the pole by rolling up my car window. I purchased a new pole, but I held on to the broken one thinking that I would cut it down to the next eyelet and use in desperation or maybe bottom fishing for trout. I saw this kit and it saved my pole. It took only minutes to repair, saved the length of the pole and it still casts like it did when I first bought it. Under $10 to repair the pole plus there are extra tips for different sized poles. There is a possibility to repair 10 poles for under a dollar each. This was one good bargain if you ask me. There were many to choose from and this is the one I chose. Case was compact so you could carry it with your gear in case the need arises while on the water. It'll have you up and running in minutes and your day/trip will not be wasted because of a broken tip or eyelet. Read more

I used this kit to repair my son's pole that had a broken rod tip (last 3" snapped off). It worked great. It is best to watch the reviewer videos. You learn a couple of tricks. Take your time repairing...and you will be happy! Read more
Great repair kit . Fixed several rod tips for the high school fishing club . 4 stars because the UV light really doesn't work . Just place repaired tip outside in direct sunlight works best. Recommend buying separate kit that has varying size of rod tips. This kit has a few tips but not many. Read more
The main thing is that it had the right sized rod tip and sandpaper. I heated up the ferrule that was at the tip of my broken rod with a heat gun and it just fell off. Then I sanded the tip with sandpaper. Next, I used some epoxy that I already had to glue on the new tip. It all looks new except that my rod is now about 6 feet 6 inches long instead of 7 feet. I think it will work well. The rod cost about $275.00 and this saved it. I do not think trying to use UV glue makes sense because the light cannot get to it inside the new tip. Maybe the last fish I caught was simply too big for the rod. Read more

The kits includes a hot glue stick, a bottle of UV adhesive and an UV light to cure the adhesive. However the instructions included in the kit refer to mixing parts A and B of the epoxy. THe instructions are useless for the products in the kit as there are no steps on how to use them. Read more
