I just invested in two beautiful big curved screens to replace my older flat ones, and wanted to wall-mount them to get some of my desk space back. I asked some tech friends and they recommended the AVLT Dual Monitor Wall Mount. The unit is substantial - feels solid and really well made right out of the box. The installation instructions were simple and easy to follow. My hubby and I mounted it on the wall above my desk and used a length of pine left over from our floor-to-ceiling bookcase project to mount it. We live in an old house with lath-and-plaster walls, so I decided not to risk just using the screws to mount it. The process was easy - find the spot where I wanted the monitors, check for a wall stud to drill into, select (and stain) the piece of wood that served as the "backer," screw it into the wall, then mount the monitor arm. I'm very happy with it - plenty of range of motion, easy to move my monitors when I want to, and they feel very secure. Read more

I wanted a dual mount for my monitors to free up space on my desk. This is definitely sturdy, seems well made, and works great. Installation wasn't too hard, we mounted it onto a board that is screwed into our wall stud for extra support. It may have taken 15- 20 min to get it installed and set up. I didn't realize then when I push the arms flat it would separate my monitors so much. I was looking for something that would keep my monitors toward the back of my desk/wall and aligned together. When I extend the arms out to have my monitors together, it pushes too far into my desk. If I had a deeper desk, this would be perfect. I think this would be great for someone with more desk space. I use two monitors for work and the stands were taking up most of my desktop. I considered a riser shelf but wall mounting offered the option of moving the monitors to standup while I work. Packed well and clear instructions included. I was able to mount it alone but it would be much easier with a second person to help hold it while attaching it to the wall (I'm just too impatient). There are cord management covers on each arm which was the kind of organization I was wanting. Easy to reposition the monitors and they stay where I put them. I have reclaimed my desktop!!! Read more

I got this in order to mount my monitors onto the wall above the desk as I needed some space. The build quality of this thing is great. It's really heavy and sturdy. The install is simple and easy as well. I did see in the instructions that they suggest you can just use wall anchors, but to be honest I would not try that myself. If you are going to install, then I would suggest that you drill into the wall to hit a stud and go that route because the weight of the arms itself along with the monitors to me are too much for just wall anchors to support it all. Overall, I highly recommend that if you are looking to save space on your desk or just to fancy up the office a bit, that you buy this item! Read more

I wanted a monitor setup that I could use sitting or standing. This works great. It’s solid and does not wobble but raises and lowers easily. Read more

My college age son set up his 2 monitors so his desk space would be maximised. Take your time figuring out the angles and position that you want your monitors to be adjustable within. We had to take it down and move it to get the monitors exactly where we wanted them. Very solid and smooth. Good cable management tracks. Clears the desk and swivels nicely. Read more

I have a large, heavy old hanns-G 28 inch monitor and a heavy old samsung 24 inch and both were easy to mount. The design of the top two bolts does make it tricky to mount to a single 2x4 stud, so beware that you need to drill your pilot hole for the left one slightly up and towards the center, and the lower right one slightly left and towards center to make sure the screws firmly go INTO the stud and don't just shear off an edge. Not super hard, but just something to be mindful of. Other than that, my only complaints are that 1.) the cable routing plastic piece on the first pivot coming out of the wall doesn't have any positive fixation so it will slip out constantly. I fixed this by just doing a decorative wrap with some cloth ribbon that looks nice and holds it in place, but it shouldn't need that to begin with. And 2.) it really should have a little slot to hold the allen wrench required to adjust the gas strut that holds the monitor position. No reason that couldn't have been integrated somewhere. Read more
