This thing is solidly built! I was expecting a cheap plastic exterior with a glossy finish... Its a solid metal enclosure probably to aid in heat dissipation. It runs super silent and I formatted it ExFAT for compatibility for my Mac and Win10 machines, although preformatted for PS4; you can easily format for your needs. Instructions are simple and why shouldn't they be? If your looking for and external drive with high data throughput and solidly built... this! 6TB with case for $85? That is cost of the HD by itself. Gotta be something wrong with this. But no, at least for now, it works like a champ. Bonus in that is has similar design and colors to the PS4. I've downloaded half of my PS4 Game Library and have maybe 1/3 of it filled. 6TB is over kill for me but for a few bucks more than a 2TB external drive why not. It is a 3.5" drive so it has it's own power supply. But that is less draw on the PS4's power so that is fine. It spins faster and "seems" be faster at loading games. But it could be a placebo effect from seeing the statement 7200rpm. For the price as long as it works for a couple of years it was worth the buy. Read more
