It is made of faux leather braided together and feels great and I could see it lasting someone for many years, so great quality. It is priced perfectly and will fit a wide variety of sizes. I wear a XL, or 12-14 size jeans and I am 5'4" and 188 lbs. It had no problem with it going around my waist and having plenty of room to tie or knot the ends.
