The item description clearly states "up to 256GB" but in practice this device will only record to 128GB cards. Perhaps the Pro variant does but not the standard GS63H. Opening the box the first thing I saw in the instruction manual is that it works with "up to 128 GB sd cards", not a good sign. Of course I bought a 256 GB card to use with the camera and after testing 4 different name brand 256 GB cards that clearly met the specs it would not work. The device will format the cards and correctly report the card size but displays an error message. However... if you manually resize the large card's formatted partition to less than 128 GB it magically works. I had no issues with 128 GB and smaller cards during my testing. Another issue is that there is no default screen off option. If you truly want the display off after being powered on you have to manually turn it off. While I do not believe this would bother most people the display on the camera is quite awful and at any angle off of dead center it looks atrocious, so much so that it's a constant annoyance to me. Pros are the camera quality, while not exceptional, is perfectly serviceable at this price point. Audio quality is fine and you can optionally record GPS coordinates and speed data. I've found that the speed shown can jump around a bit, even at constant speeds, but it's not unusable. The companion app appears to work well, albeit with an awkward pairing method, and I had no issues with it. I was also pleased to see that the device came with the latest firmware. Personally I do not recommend this camera for the incorrect item description as 128 GB cards do not allow for much 4k video storage and the terrible display. Photos demonstrate what I see from the drivers seat and clearly show the quality of the display. Images taken in darkness for ease of seeing but daylight does not improve anything. The clock is supposed to be on a black background but appears brightly illuminated and live images are almost unwatchable at any angle. Read more
